Ophelia is beginning to cry, flooding gems her porcelain cheeks. "Why, Liam?" she asks, throwing herself onto me. With painstakingly covered-up disdain, I plucked her off of me and returned her with most of them. "Because..." I focus on the sky, colored with dull purple tints. There, concealed in the shadows of the evening, is an ideal full moon, sparkling like the sun. It is so gorgeous, making me attempt to recall the last time we had such a breathtaking moon. How could Felix need to pass up a superb night like this?

“Someone’s grumpy.” “I’m frustrated,” Trixie fires back. “And before you ask—no, it’s not that time of the month. It’s the ‘I-just-want-to-find-my-mate-before-I-burst’ time.” Parker gives her a sideways glance. “That a medical diagnosis now?” Trixie glares at him. “Don’t tease me, Parker. I’m serious.” She pushes up from her chair with a huff. “My birthday is in two weeks —August 21. I’m throwing a party. I expect presents. Sparkly ones. And maybe—maybe—if the Moon Goddess doesn’t hate me, I’ll find my mate.”

A large window at one end of the room bathed everything in the soft, golden light of the setting sun, while ornate chandeliers hung overhead. Mara, Alpha Jake, Troy, Jay, Elizabeth, Jasmine and Elvie sat around the polished wooden table. Their expressions were a mixture of confusion and concern. Mara, the future Luna of the Silver Moon Pack, was known for her strong and confident demeanor. Still, on this occasion, her brow furrowed as she gazed at Elvie, who appeared distant and vacant.

I pulled him away from the spot he was rooted to, I wanted him to continue the dance. "No. The Luna of the Pack is a crazy being, crazily powerful. She is the only one you will need to face and I trust that you will not allow her to sabotage the mission. I trust you." As he concluded his words, he walked me back to the thrones and we took our seats. "You don't have to worry about anything else, I will deliver Crescent Moon Pack to you," I said teasingly and touched his nose tip as a smirk crossed his face.

Azalea's POV Every full moon night, something strange happens. I don't know exactly what happened last night. But as I washed my hair in the sink this morning, I could vividly recall my dream last night, when I "wolfed-out" and ran through the streets of Brooklyn. The moonlight illuminated my path, made everything enveloped in silver light, and I was completely happy. I haven't been that happy in a long time. The thing is, I'm not a wolf. I'm an ordinary human... right? And werewolves don't exist... right?

I screamed, begging for Brax to take away my pain. Brax's eyes filled with worry as he studied me as he tried to think of a way to help me. Slowly picking me up, he started towards the door. "Where are you taking her?" my mum asked. "It's a full moon. The moonlight will help take away some of the pain", Brax answered as he rushed me out of the room and into the backyard. He laid me down on the grass, letting the moonlight shine down on me as he held my hand tightly.
