It sloshed around until it filled to the top. Veronica removed the needle and the smell of her blood wafted up to me. I was still in my demon form! Shit! My bloodlust started to come out as my eyes instantly went to the spot where a drop of blood seeped out over her fair skin. My throat started to burn and itch as it began to crave for blood. I gulped and forced my eyes to look away. After the second vial was full, it felt like pure torture. Veronica bandaged up Arisa, stopping the bleeding but it was too late. The smell of blood filled the room.

Jake recited, pulling out the pictures gathered by Evidence Response Team. Charlie looked through the pictures, noting the evidence in each scene. The corpse laid askew and naked, missing all four limbs. Her curly brunette hair fanned out under her. Her chest was crudely sewn up in one picture and in another, it was cut open and filled with bags of illegal drugs. No matter how many times she saw something like this, she could not stomach how someone could do this to another person. "How did this kid get involved with the Mafia?" Charlie heard William murmur.

Another man is running towards them but as he gets close enough Diana shoots out her other arm and knocks him to the ground. "DIANA" I shout. She throws Bonnie's body to the floor and turns to face my direction. Her Eyes are pure black and she lifts her nose in the air sniffing. She blinks and her eyes are back to normal. "What the fuck?" Orion says. I watch as the man gets up and stabs a needle into Diana's neck, she crumbles to the floor. My wolf surges forward and I shift speeding off towards her. I instantly shift back and cradle Diana in my arms listening for her heartbeat.

I smell blood before I see it. Zara gives me a worried look and hurries ahead. The truck comes into view. The doors wide open. A strip of blood stretched from the passenger seat, across the tarmac and into the trees. “Crap.” There wasn’t just one type of blood. There were two all mixed together. They were both injured, but who had dragged who away? “I don’t like this.” The human mutters. “Shut up.” I snap. Zara was crouched over, sniffing the blood.

“Yes, mater. I will serve ye until my last breath.” I sighed, running a hand through my hair as I pulled my thoughts away from Jones’ past. I only knew this because I’d gone through the history books kept in the cellar, stumbling upon a journal from the time of Grace Bloodsworth. Her tone had sounded regretful as I brushed my hand over the dark red-ink, my eyes eating up the sorrowful words. I knew without a doubt that she had use her own blood to write it.

“Think of something. Don’t use her blood. Try someone else’s. She can’t be special. If she doesn’t cooperate, it will hold us back and affect our future development.” The technician agreed and started studying Gemma while searching for ways to save Brody. He told other technicians about the situation too. They drew blood from everyone on the island. There was only Tristan left. He wasn’t sure if he should give blood. “Sir, you...” Tristan said, “What? I want immortality, and you want me to die?” “No...” The technician gave up. Actually, he wanted to say that Brody only needed half his blood replaced, because Gemma had already given some.

As I watched the car tear down the road, my heartbeat matched the speed on the screen. Then there was a loud bang. The driver jumped out to look. The footage shows two adults lying on the ground, and the victim's baby had been tossed a distant away. There was blood everywhere. It was so terrible that I almost couldn't watch. Charles and Freddie wiped at their eyes beside me. Then, unbelievably, Maeve said they weren't dead and backed the car up to run over them again. When the relatives saw that, they went completely berserk. "Charles! Freddie! I don't care who was driving. Kill them both!!

Third Person POV Tristan freezes on the bed. Is this happening? Is this reality? There should be some kind of mistake. Surely Sophie isn’t the recipient of his blood. Surely she’s not the one who was in a critical condition. Surely she’s not the one whose life was in danger. He’s confused. Or at least, his heart is. Because right now, he doesn’t know what to be more concerned about: is it her condition, or the fact that the thing that saved her life was his blood?

(TRISTAN’S POV) Blood explodes across my face. Into my mouth. Hot. Metallic. Thick. I stumble to the side, choking on another man’s blood. A hole gapes through the man’s temple. Chunks of red and white matter drip down my face. “Fuck!” The woman screams, gathering her torn vestments to her chest. Metal clicks and more gunshots ring. One by one, the men crumble to the ground. I don’t wait to see if they are dead. Don’t turn back. If the close thumping beside me is anything to go by, I’m next.
