The Blood Traitor Novels & Stories

The defender cried out in shock and pain as he fell. Jacob didn’t hesitate. He reached the third traitor in an instant, grabbed his head with both hands, and twisted violently. A sickening crack echoed inside the tent as the traitor’s neck broke. His body dropped lifeless to the floor next to the others. All three traitors lay dead in quick succession, their blood staining the tent floor in dark, glistening pools. The loyal guards and defenders inside the tent watched in stunned silence, their faces hardening with fresh resolve.

The posture of someone who'd been carrying weight too long. Almost relieved to set it down. Alisha found me at the window. "Blood means something different to everyone," she said quietly. I looked at her. "Val's pack blood. Joshua's father's blood. Cole's betrayal blood." She paused. "Yours and mine. Cousin blood. Silvermoon blood." "All of it counts?" "All of it." She nodded. "Even the betrayal. Because it shows us who stays." I looked at her. "You stayed."

"Go… Go and kill Cyrus… He… He's a traitor!" Lucian froze for a moment, then turned his head toward the Great Elder, who was already running. Fire flared in his eyes as he picked up his broken sword and charged. Up on the wall, Victor let out an annoyed snort. "The price for ruining my plans is very high." His body blurred, and his claws came straight for my throat. He wanted to cut off the flow of life before the cleansing could be completed. My father slammed into Victor like a madman and refused to let go, even as vampire claws shredded his body. "Don't touch my daughters!"

It turned out that people like them eventually meet someone worse. I lowered the brim of my cap and turned to leave, not wanting to be recognized. However, fate has a twisted sense of humor. My leather shoe stepped on a dry leaf. Crunch. Brian's head snapped up. Our eyes met. His eyes went wide. Like he had seen a ghost. Or a savior. "Bro?!" That single shout drew everyone's attention. My dad looked up, too, a flicker of light in his eyes. "Chester… Chester!"

“Older ones with me. Mia, stay with Hope and the little ones.” “No,” Mia said firmly. “We do this together.” They moved as a family through the flickering corridors. The traitor was fast, but Hope’s connection guided them. They cornered him near the power core. He turned, gun raised. “The bloodline belongs to us now.” Hope stepped forward, glowing brighter. “No. It belongs to family.” A wave of energy exploded from her. The traitor dropped his weapon, screaming as golden light wrapped around him. But the effort cost her. Hope collapsed.

“That is an Irwin child, Alpha - the Irwin child. I knew Markus, I knew what that monster looked like, and she’s just like him.” The alpha glanced back at me, his eyes narrowing, but I saw the way his pupils had dilated first. It didn’t matter who I was, I was still his mate. “Omari, my mate is to be taken to my suite. Immediately.” “B-But Alpha!” stuttered the other man with them. “She’s- she’s an Irwin! Her father is a traitor, scum of the earth.” “Yes,” Omari agreed. “He was a traitor to his previous pack, Alpha. Killed his beta. You can see why it might make me a bit uneasy to allow his daughter into the packhouse. Alpha, what if she is just the same? She-”

I said, my tone fierce enough to make her flinch. I took another step forward, desperate now. “Listen to me. Everything I’ve done, every lie, every secret, it was to protect you. Because your bloodline… it isn’t ordinary. You aren’t just another woman who happened to catch my attention. You are tied to something far older, far darker than either of us.” She went very still. “My bloodline,” she repeated slowly, like the words were foreign on her tongue. I nodded once, grimly. “The Blackwood prophecy.”

His face was full of confusion as he asked, "Babe, what did I even do wrong?" I tried to get him to stand up, but Betty stopped me. She pulled me to the couch and raised her chin at Trent. "Did you cheat on her?" Trent's eyes widened, almost popping out of his head. "No way! If I had that much time, I'd rather code a few more lines!" Aggrieved, he shuffled on his knees over to me and tried to plead his case. Before he could say anything, however, he noticed the bandages on my hand.

As I fell into danger, Jake put up a fight, his limbs ripping. Despite being drenched in blood, he bolted toward me and pounded my attacker on the head. Blood spilled all over the concrete floor, either coming from Jake or the rogue. Anna let out a shriek. It was total mayhem. “Joey!” Anna shouted. Through the madness, a massive black wolf came charging from a distance with incredible speed. I knew that it was Joey, my aloof mate. It never crossed my mind that Joey had shared a mind link with Anna.

"My dearest, your great grandmother worked with traitors that killed the ones I blessed to rule over my people. I cursed the magic tree after that and took away magical abilities from those that still lived. The traitors would have failed if they didn't have magic." I buried my face in my palms and then I cried. For my mother who had suffered the illest fate. I thought my life was bad but she must have had it worse. I couldn't imagine having to flee my home to avoid the wrath of the people my family had hurt only to end up in the same situation as before. My blood. I had the blood of a traitor. I always thought it was an insult meant to get me down but it was true. My great grandmother had b
