An Act of Vengeance

An Act of Vengeance

But back then, unfortunately, she didn’t understand it. Yuri stared at the book cover showing the Old Supreme Court of Singapore. She had asked her mother back then, “If there truly is Justice, then why do so many criminals still run free?” Hitomi Kirisawa had closed her eyes and replied, “Even Justice isn’t infallible.” And when Yuri had asked what isn’t infallible, her mother had answered her with one word only. “God.”

ALPHA ON WHEELS: Cured by His Wolfless Mate

ALPHA ON WHEELS: Cured by His Wolfless Mate

Justice would be served, no matter the cost. The air was heavy with anticipation, the silence punctuated only by the soft rustle of papers and the quiet hum of determination. Thane's heart beat with a steady, relentless rhythm, driving him forward with an unyielding commitment to truth and justice. The storm was gathering, and Thane stood at its epicenter, ready to unleash the fury of his wrath upon those who had betrayed and murdered Catherine.

River and Thane's story is indeed intriguing. The snotty Lily said it all: the wolfless and the cripple, what a combination! But evidently, River is more than a wolfless girl. Her attic discoveries changed her life and Thane. Truly, there is strength in disability. I recommend this book for all.
Orion Steele
Rivers story is indeed about how fate smiled at us at odd ends... From finding a home, finding her wolf, getting love.... It's most fascinating how we wow those who thinks so little about us. ...️...️...️

Contracted To The Col-Hearted Bilionaire

Contracted To The Col-Hearted Bilionaire

“I’m here.” When the judge called the court to order, Dante tried so hard on his part but it looked like the efforts were futile until Nicho’s lawyer made the mistake. He scoffed and said, “And who are you, really? Just a mere lawyer with no background.” The courtroom shifted. The murmurs faded into a stunned silence. Just when I thought Dante had already done the impossible, he pushed further. “Your client,” Dante said, voice steady but carrying through the courtroom, “relies on power and wealth on influence bought and inherited. But I rely on the truth. On justice. And the truth does not bend just because the person speaking it isn't backed by empires.”

Priced By My Billionaire Nemesis

I didn’t say it only looked like consent. Because some truths don’t clarify the past. They detonate it. And the worst part—the part my body understood before my mind did—was that Adrian didn’t need me to be guilty. He only needed me to feel guilty. That way, he could call whatever came next justice. Justice, I realized, didn’t need truth to function. It only needed structure. Adrian had always believed in systems—cause and effect, action and consequence, transgression and correction. Justice, to him, was not about mercy or understanding. It was about balance. About restoring order when something had gone wrong. And in his mind, I was the imbalance.

the judge spoke again, in a cold but still indecipherable tone of voice “When it comes to justice, there must be not only equal conditions, but also respect on both sides and honesty. And after an hour of pondering and analyzing the new evidence that was provided, in addition to the analysis of all the DNA tests carried out by the experts working in this court, it became clear that some of the people present here today acted with malice, dishonesty and tried to deceive justice with untruths, to take advantage of an asset that should be equally distributed for the well-being of the family, not just a few individuals.” When Andy anxiously moved her hands under the table so she could let them s

I very much enjoyed this story. The flow from chapter to chapter was refreshing as there was no repetition in what happened from one chapter to the next. I did, however, find the incorrect usage of pronouns to be a little confusing. Overall, it's a great story author. I look forward to reading more

Loved all the past books and each story within this one.I wish they would have mentioned Massimo as her client once. Also why she didn’t keep up the A in the kids name as her fam tradition it would’ve been cute the name they chose as a middle name&still call them by that but have a first name with A

Just there. “You did this,” she whispered. “We did,” he corrected. She pulled back just enough to look at him, her lashes wet, her eyes red but luminous. “You never used it,” she said. “The leverage. You could’ve forced apologies. Public statements. Groveling.” “I could have,” he agreed. “But you didn’t.” His gaze softened. “Justice isn’t about humiliation. It’s about truth.” The screen changed again. HUGHES CORP ISSUES STATEMENT OF APOLOGY.

In how he looked at her now. “What happens when the truth comes out?” she asked, her voice low. “We’ve spent so long trying to expose it, but what if—what if it doesn’t fix anything?” Cassian stepped toward her then. Close, but not touching. “It won’t fix everything. But it’ll start something. And that might be enough.” She stared at him. “You still believe in justice?” “No. I believe in leverage.” She almost smiled. Almost. “And us?”

THE WHOLE TRUTH

“That’s the only way you can get in. I can use my name to get us all in and then, you can do the rest, Jake.” Rachel said.“To me, it’s a smart idea.” Storm said. I smiled, glancing at Rachel.“Yes, it is. But... can you be trusted, Rachel?. I don’t like funny games and smart moves. Either you are in or, you are out, You decide.”She smiled. “And I don’t like being untrusted. Didn’t I agree to work for you, Jake?...” she leaned in, her eyes on my lips, “... you are the boss and I am the subordinate. As a subordinate, one has to be loyal to the one with the authority.

From Truth To Lies

Julia shook her head as she stepped closer to me. “How could I? If I had trusted with all my heart, wouldn't I have died out of Helena’s betrayal. My inability to trust fully has made me survive until this day.” I answered. Julia had no combat abilities so it would have been easy taking care of her, however, who knows what they had modified in her? Did she take the substance as well?

Frequently Asked Questions

The novel 'Justice' is a gripping exploration of morality, power, and the blurred lines between right and wrong. It follows the journey of a young lawyer named Lin Chen, who starts off idealistic and determined to uphold the law without compromise. However, as he gets entangled in a high-profile case involving corporate corruption and political machinations, he begins to question the very system he swore to protect. The story delves deep into his internal struggles, especially when he discovers that the truth isn't as black-and-white as he once believed. The narrative is peppered with intense courtroom drama, personal betrayals, and moments where Lin must choose between his career and his conscience.

What makes 'Justice' so compelling is its refusal to offer easy answers. The supporting characters—ranging from a jaded investigator to a ruthless CEO—add layers of complexity, each representing different facets of societal pressure. The novel's pacing is relentless, with twists that force Lin (and the reader) to reconsider assumptions. By the end, it leaves you pondering whether justice is an absolute ideal or a malleable concept shaped by circumstance. I finished it in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down—it’s that kind of book.
