Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)

Hidden Legacy (The Lost Luna)

The truth was already out, hanging in the air like a guillotine. "You had something to do with her death, didn't you?" I took a step closer, my voice low and lethal. "The rogues didn't just happen upon her, did they? You sent them. You orchestrated her death because she stood in your way. Tell the truth!" With that, I sent waves of power crashing over her. "Tell. The. Truth. You orchestrated her death, didn't you?"

Naya Hart
This is such an interesting book, and the characters are really good. Jane is that one friend anybody should have, and then Elara who was called barren was finally going to be having her baby. It's a pity her husband had to cheat on her with her step sister. Overall the story is really good.

Honestly I love that she had a friend like Jane, I love her personality. I love how I could feel every emotion you tried to put into words and everything played like a movie in my thoughts. This is such a good read. Kudos dear author...️

The Professor's Mate Clause

The Professor's Mate Clause

That is what I will die for. When I finally fall, it is not sudden. It is gradual, like the world slowly letting go of me. Corbin stands over me, victorious in his mind, already convinced this was meaningless. But I answer him anyway, because even dying men deserve to speak their truth. I tell him he is wrong. That Adrian is coming. That my death is not an ending without consequence, but a turning point he will not survive. And even as blood fills my mouth, I believe it.

THE BIKER'S NEW FOUND MATE

THE BIKER'S NEW FOUND MATE

"If I do this, if I fake my death—I cannot contact anyone. Albert. Antonio. Grace. They will think I am really gone." "They will grieve. That grief will be authentic. X-One and X-Two will detect authentic grief and accept your death as real. Fake grief gets noticed. Real grief sells the deception." X-Three grabbed my flickering hand. "You want to protect them? Make them believe you are dead. It is the only way." "How do I know you are not just X-One wearing a conscience as camouflage? How do I know this is not another layer of manipulation?"

The moon goddess chose wrong: twice

The moon goddess chose wrong: twice

he said. “She was thorough,” I said. “Always.” He was quiet for a moment. “She used to say that she would rather die living in truth than keep looking over her shoulders. That if you were patient enough and careful enough the truth would eventually arrange itself to be seen.” He paused. “She believed that about everything. People. Packs. Politics.” A pause. “She was right about most of it.” I looked at him. “She was killed for being right about this.” “Yes,” he said simply.

When His Lie Became My Truth

When His Lie Became My Truth

Just like my death, even my own husband no longer cared. The two clung to each other, lips meeting in a passionate kiss. My soul trembled. Inside my mind, a dull, slicing pain echoed as if a blunt knife slowly carved through flesh and bone, refusing to fade away. A bitter laugh slipped from me. Of course, she was fine. Her “death” had always been nothing more than a lie, a cruel tale Pierce invented to deceive me. On the other hand, I had truly died. Thank goodness a soul couldn’t feel pain.

In Time, the Truth

In Time, the Truth

Alex seized my hand, his burning palm damp with perspiration. "Em, three months ago, her grandmother was dying. She was desperate when she begged me for help. "That night, I'd just finished entertaining clients, and I'd had too much to drink. I never imagined… "But you can relax, she'll never be welcomed into the Carter family. Your position is secure." The hospital room door suddenly burst open, and Brooke appeared, wearing an oversized hospital gown. She collapsed to her knees before me, tears flowing freely. "Ms. Shaw, please let the babies live! I want nothing else!"

I Moan for My Ex’s Uncle

I Moan for My Ex’s Uncle

But was it worth it? “Yes?” I answered calmly and winced in pain when the cuffs shifted in my hands. “You have two choices now. Although we weren’t going to be that lenient with you, we have decided to give you the grace to speak the truth or go to the Trial of Truth. I smirked. I have only heard of it, never been there. They say the Trial of Truth is a ritual where one goes deep into the worst part of the woods, the Hunted Path. It is said that no one who ever went came back again, but if anyone were to come back, it would mean that they were innocent, and they would also learn the truth. But since no one ever came back, it could just be another way to execute people.
