Chapter 9

Yuki-san continued to come by herself. She kept him preoccupied. It is fortunate for me that l felt free to do what l like. I had so many plans to make and accomplish and it made it easy when he was out of my way.

On the first day after being told not to come anymore, l sneaked out of the place and went to Hozumi. She gets really busy and it was unfortunate because l had risked my life for nothing. I could not even get a glimpse of her and at that time l was left to go to town. I had studied the pathways back and from the city. I had saved some money as well as it was the first time getting on a train. After arriving in town l thought to go some wherelse l still had time in my hands. So l went to take a train.

Looking around l could see people carrying their load moving about as others consulted someone in an enclosed space.

I stood at the same place wondering what l should do. Ask someone. They will think l am weird. As if l am from some other world after all l am. Living in that not knowing what's out here.

If only l can leave everything and start a new here but that l know l can not do that at all. Remembering the day l went to spy at that company. Knowing that l might have been done with. I don't dare think of it.

After l decided to walk forward after seeing that she was paying for a ticket. I stood behind her waiting for my turn, the woman in front went away leaving me to be the first to be served.

"Hello what can l do for you?"l was asked by the man sitting there. 'He is friendly. I can see this by the way he smiles while talking to everyone. He is polite but most of all handsome. I have never seen someone with all the prospects. Some may be handsome, polite not so much.

I could not help but also put a smile. "Hey, how much is a ticket to some city close here."

"Oh Are you a first-timer here."

"Yes. How do you know?" It unexpectedly became a long talk. I ended up not going anywhere. We exchanged names and phone numbers but couldn't risk letting out the address.

"See you. We can talk on phone." I bid him bye saving his number 'Tanaka😇' with an emoji. I felt really good. After all, l have made another friend l can't wait to tell Hozumi. Walking back feeling so happy. Seeing the pillars with red walls appear in front, l know l am back to torment.

Nagara these days does not spare me a look. Thankfully l have more time to myself.

Entering through the gates as quietly as l can so that nothing looks suspicious. If l did what l always do, jumping over the walls wearing the normal outfit that would get me caught.

I headed straight to my room. Feeling tired l got on the bed and prepared to take a nap.

I don't know what time l slept but all l know is that l woke up in the morning. I got to the bathroom and bathed. When l came out l saw a translucent pink kimono laid on the bed obviously telling me to wear it. I backed away and went straight to look into my things and wearing a simple dress because l could not wear that.

Anyway, what is the occasion? Is he tired of living playing pranks like this on me? Or it is someone else. Yes, come what, he will never do something like this.

Who has the guts to label me as this? Whoever this is, they are going to pay.

I hurried out of the room and headed towards Nagara l had to check if he was aware of it. Entering the whole, l watched him as he dangled on the pillar as always.

"What do you want?"

"... did you call for me?" It was not natural asking him if he sent me clothes.

"No. Why do you think so."

"Ah, nothing l thought since yesterday you haven't asked me of anything."

That sentence sounded wrong. He stared at me surprised as he twisted his leg so that he could jump to the ground.

"Why would l?" Hearing that sentence l was left with nothing to ask so l took my leave. But one thing was confirmed he had nothing to do with it.

So who has a problem with me?

Sakura-chann!.." l turned to see Yuki-san heading towards me. I had forgotten she was now living in this place.

"Yuki-san konchiwa."

"Konchiwa did you see Sosuke-sama. How is he doing."

I gave it a thought , "Yes he is doing great as always. Don't you want yo go in."

She froze then shook her head. "I will go later when l am reporting in." She smiled and bade me goodbye.

"Sayonara."

After seeing her disappear l go to visit Hozumi. Luckily l found her sitting under the tree.

"Sakura, how are you. "

"Hey Hozumi can you tell me about Yuki-san."

"Oh her, she is just humble and focuses on her work. She likes Sosuke-sama but l don't know anything between the two of them. Why do you ask."

"just being curious." I smiled it off. After that l told her about this morning. She was also surprised and pissed on my behalf. She told me she would help with the investigation.
