Chapter 8

Being frequently in his presence has become so annoying to both sides. Even though l avoid getting in a conversation with him, still we will be in the same room.

We were currently inside the building . I was sitting on the floor whilst he was hanging on the pillar. Being his weird self after all assassins can do anything.

"When did you find out?"l ask all of a sudden remembering his talk earlier. He looks at me."....." He changes the way he was as he flips sitting upright. Does he get it or he is acting like he did not. He is difficult.

"I mean when did you know that l was doing all that." I ask because all along l thought l was doing it all secretly. There is nothing that beats the feeling that all along you were busy hiding something whilst it has been found out.Or is it Hozumi..

"Don't blame her l knew from the start when you went back and met Hozumi. Sometimes you would make too much noise when you failed jumping to the other roofs. I could see you lying on the ground after a heavy exercise with that wooden plank. And today when your friend came trying by all means to stall me l knew you were still going even after receiving that call."

He knew all along. That's why l would always get to eat on time just after exercise. I would find some water on his chair which l would steal but he never said anything.

I always thought it was all coincidence.

"Why were you risking your life to go there?" He should not kknow he is a member after all.

"Nothing...l mean for nothing." I lied. He kept quiet as he stared at the window seeing in the dark with the aid of the moonlight.

"I am going to sleep now ,"l said as l slip out to see Hozumi. On my way to her l could feel as if l was being watched from behind. I ignored it.

"Sakura!"

"Hozumi.." She came and hugged me.

"See l told you to return but you never listen what could have happened to you."

"I know l am sorry l scared you but we need to get to the bottom of that file. So far we know they were after my family because of that contract with the Chinese. I saw Anata and Shiba in person they knew it was all forged."

"How?"

"I don't know l need to go back l have been given strict orders not wonder around any time of the day or night. We will talk on phone."l say as l get back inside. I expected to find him asleep on his chair but he was waiting for me in my room.

"Where were you?" He asks as he took hold of his blade and moved close to me. l cringe as l stagger backwards knowing he was angry.

"I went to see Hozumi. To tell her l am safe." He did not listen as he advanced torwards me raising his blade as he thrust it at the wall behind me.

"Isn't that the use of a phone." He announced leaving me in the room.l look at where he had pierced to see a spider there . I felt even more scared l wobbled and fell on my knees. It felt as if l was the target. Poor thing it died because of me. Everyone dies because of me.

I am the reason for everything that has happened till now. And if l don't hurry l will end up putting everyone in trouble. There is Hozumi then him even my cousin. He may be an assassin but he is not that bad. Even though he is not getting rid of me because l am some use to him but why would he care if l got in trouble or if l get killed.

Thinking back, these past three months l have spent them in an abnormal way. Training to kill, at my age, l should be at home studying at some school. Enjoying life like any other teenager. But here l am seeking revenge.

Even though l refused to be one of their people. I still live among them. I don't even know why he is still keeping me by his side. If l am some use he should keep me locked somewhere and take me when the time is right. Instead he keeps me close to him.He secretly looks after me. I do not understand him at all.

"Nagara senpai please reconsider it all." I hear a voice outside. It must be her, after all working for the old man is not easy. It's been seven times since she visited here for the same reason l think. I am sure she personally enjoys it herself.

"Go tell him that my decision is still the same. And it will remain that way."

I hear foot steps before he calls for her. "Yuki you don't have to come here anymore."

That surely caught her off guard.

"No senpai l can not stay away from you. I know I made mistakes. Don't you have a heart to forgive me. I will leave him if l have to stay close to you."

It is like how l suspected they do have a relationship. After observing the two all along l came to a conclusion that they do love one another. He had returned her feelings after all. These days he was looking at her differently. I could see some longing in his eyes. He could not hood them any more.

"You must go."

"No l am not. You have found another right. That slave the one you give special treatment. The one you can't let Lockey sama to lay hands on. Am l not enough for you. Can't you at least forgive me."

"I don't have such nor do l give her special treatment. She is nothing to me. So please stop with these silly speculations." Hearing him say that some how made me sad. What did l expect from an enermy.
