Return Of The Forsaken Madam

Return Of The Forsaken Madam

she confirmed, furthering, “Cohen, actually, the truth you have always known is a mixture of lies and truth, but one is more than the other.” Her statement kept getting deeper, making him to get more confused. “What do you mean?” He investigated. “What’s the truth and what’s the lie?” Elsie sighed and went silent for a few seconds. “It’s hard to distinguish, but if you can give me a little more time, I will figure it out.” “Are you sure you can?” He doubted. Elsie boldly nodded, assuring, “it’s just a matter of time until the truth surface. Lies can’t cover the truth forever. Just a little more time.”

Married To Him By Midnight

Married To Him By Midnight

Not catastrophic. But painful. ⸻ Back at the apartment, the silence felt heavier than before. Adrian stood by the window again. But this time— There was tension beneath the calm. “This is different,” I said quietly. “Yes.” “This isn’t about us.” “No.” “It’s about control.” “Yes.” I stepped closer. “You think he fabricated it?” “I think he constructed it.” A pause. “That’s not the same thing.” “No,” Adrian said. “It’s worse.” Because construction uses fragments of truth.

-He likes to gossip around. "Tsk, go on deny it all you want when it's totally obvious on your face."- Really? It is? Then I heard him laugh. Tsk. My reason is not that wrong. Is it a big deal? We're always together so it's natural, right? "Have you seen her these past few days? I haven't heard any news about her."

Bargain: An Object of Desire

Bargain: An Object of Desire

"Aren't the news and article thing propaganda most of the time? I mean the media would sell anything that sells irrespective of whether or not it's true." "You're right, but…" I picked my cutlery again, now convinced that he had bought everything I just said. "The truth is always constant no matter how much the story is edited or reported by different people. So if there's a fact that repeats itself over and over again, you might want to consider it the truth in the story." "That's a smart way to put it," he smiled, picking up his as well before digging into the chicken. At the back of my head, I wished it wasn't anything serious. Because if I had put out my entire story only for what starte

Logan asked. Ellis shook her head. “We have fictional videos, too. We call them movies. They tell stories to amuse and entertain, not to inform. Like novels… but on film.” “How confusing! How do people know which is true and which is not?” Leo asked. “We called the real one's documentary. The movies were more popular, though.” “That’s a thing about our culture. Humans prefer fantasy to truth.” Ellis looked down at Mitch’s image on the screen. “Some people here seem to prefer it, too.”

(Part 2) I have to commend the author for having such an amazing ability to come with an amazing story! The characters are lovable! There’s humor, passion and a good solid story around it! What more could you ask for! It’s definitely worth your gems and time! You’ll love this!

This was such an interesting story! I enjoyed the characters and plot development. A recommended read! One hiccup was that throughout various chapters there was random errors in the names (e.g, Ellis named Bella). It was a bit distracting but not a deal breaker.

STEP ASIDE EX-HUSBAND: THE RISE OF LIANA

STEP ASIDE EX-HUSBAND: THE RISE OF LIANA

"How is it going to pass when someone just woke up one morning and decided to destroy all that I built up with bloody lies, Mum!" She leaned in and wiped away a tear from my cheek. "The truth does not go away just because someone wakes up and tells a lie," she said. "It waits. Waits for the noise to die away so that it can speak again." I sneered bitterly. "That sounds poetic. But it's not the truth that is trending, is it? It's the lies. And my PR team is as useless as the post is. They can't even delete one piece of fake news."

he said. Christiana’s voice sharpened. “That’s not an answer.” John exhaled slowly. “It’s the only one you need.” Christiana stared at him. “No,” she said. “I need the truth.” John turned back. And this time, there was something different in his eyes. Not fear. Not guilt. But control. “The truth,” he said quietly, “is that people always talk.” He stepped closer again. “They create stories. They exaggerate. They twist things they don’t understand.”

From Truth To Lies

He was telling the truth, or at least a part of it. “Hm…” I hummed and without warning, I grabbed a pen from the nearby table and hurled it at him. Liam caught it instantly, his reflexes sharp, precise. His fingers barely moved, and yet he’d snatched it out of the air like it was the easiest thing in the world. He arched a brow, "What exactly are you trying to do?" I shrugged, feigning innocence, "Just testing something." Liam tossed the pen back onto the table with a knowing look, "Right."
