The group of over twenty people continued to wave their weapons in an attempt to split the branches. Unfortunately, not only did numerous branches attack them, but the power contained within the branches was also quite terrifying. After a while, nearly half of the group had perished due to the branches’ attacks. Only Otes and five Transformation warriors were able to make it to the space’s entrance in the end. When they looked up at the massive tree, they noticed the gruesome corpses of their peers dangling on the treetop. Grief was apparent on their faces when they saw this scene. Yet, they didn’t have the luxury of mourning for them at the time.

He became fully aware of my presence now so that he started to tremble and crawl backward… while I paced forward. “No.. no. Stay back!” He voiced but I kept creeping forward. “Stop coming close!” He bawled in his fright and then I stopped walking. And then I bent down to pick up a fairly thick branch from the tree that had fallen. I broke the branch into two and then I swiftly spun and threw both of them simultaneously away into a distance at an angle to my right. Both pieces of wood went streaking furiously through the air… and then slammed into the bodies of the two warriors who had been getting away.

They were her strength and she needed them now more than ever. Tessa's head snapped to the tree line when growls filled the air. She stood inhaling the pungent stench of rotting flesh that only Rogues possessed. "They're close! Everyone shift and fall in," she ordered, taking her spot in the front with Cadence as the warriors prepared for battle.

I didn't hear the snaps of the twigs until it was too late. The sound of a dry twig breaking an arm's length away was the only warning I got. I looked up, my breath hitching in my throat, as four warriors emerged from the trees. "There he is," the warrior sneered. I turned to run, but they were too fast. Before I could take a single step, two of them lunged forward, grabbing my arms and twisting them behind my back. I cried out in pain as they forced me to my knees, my face pressed into the cold, damp blades of grass that poked aggressively at me.

Around us Tombstone warriors pressed forward. Years of discipline revealed themselves. They fought like one body. One purpose. One kingdom. The woodland alliance began collapsing. Warriors retreated. Some dropped their weapons. Others fled into the trees. Fear spread faster than fire. Then another threat appeared. The beast. The same twisted corruption that had seized me earlier. It burst through the battlefield toward me. Several warriors attempted to intercept it. They were thrown aside by unnatural force. The creature laughed. Its eyes fixed upon me. The Vessel.

I nodded vigorously before running off after the warriors. I approached a clearing and found the half dozen warriors looking toward thick bushes. They were all on high alert, and I could hear twigs snapping and the ruffling of branches in front of them. Someone was definitely there, but who? Was it our people or the rogues coming back for us?

Toms, she shook her head in bewilderment, if they've proven anything, they've proven just how mousebrained they really are. "Stop moving and step aside," she snapped at Berrystripe, who by now had released his grip on the branch and moved to let her take over. She eyed the thorn bush warily, noticing that one of the spiny objects had gotten a hold of Twigfur and buried itself into his skin, causing his shoulder to bleed, "I'm going to lift this bush, but, it's going to hurt once the thorn unlatches itself. Move as quickly as you can once you're free."

I could see a couple of warriors wounded, with more rogues preying on them. I raced over and leapt above the rogues, dragging their attention my way. I watched, satisfied, as other warriors were able to drag the injured off to the tree line. It would protect them until medical help arrived. I had two rogues coming at me. I swept my leg out, snapping their heads back.

"Tell me everything you found out. “My prince, '' says one of the warriors. They are not very well organized. It's based on their large numbers. " "Do they have a leader?" Kellan asks as he approaches them. "Yes they have, it's a rogue named Brian Willis from what we can understand." says the warrior. "Brian Willis?" asks Michael and Morris at the same time. "How do we know that name?" Dominic asks, looking at them. "I know him," says Philip. "He was a warrior in Blood Moon Pack, and you know him too." "We do?" asks Dominic and Michael looking at him.
