Twisted Fates
Clarissa willed herself against the pain, and then, she did her best to focus her eyes on other things, and in a split second she saw her shadow move.
It was the creepiest thing. In seconds, she pulled back, knocking the dough to the floor.
“Is everything alright back there?” Archer asked.
She couldn’t look at him for fear her eyes and face may have changed. She turned away and swallowed hard as her shadow dropped something in her jogger slides. With its smell, she knew it was wolfsbane.
“I’m fine,” she mumbled, in a voice, she could barely recognize as hers.
‘Take the wolfsbane, and do the job,’ the voice said once more.
