Once settled in, a waitress with blonde hair and blue eyes approached Eric who at the time was browsing through his phone responding to messages which seemingly came pouring in. "Hello sir" greeted the waitress "can I get you something to drink?" Eric lifted his eyes off his phone for a second and his eyes met with this blonde waitress waiting to take his order with a bright smile on her face. He gazed at her for a few minutes and had forgotten she had asked a question. Oh, those blue eyes he thought to himself as he smiled back at her. Can I get you something to drink she asked again? E

"I see you two have found each other," came a voice. Caitlin and Caleb, in the midst of their embrace, both spun at the voice, startled. Caitlin was shocked that anyone could have snuck up on them so quickly, especially given their alert vampire senses. But as she stared back at the woman standing before them, she realized why: this woman too, was a vampire. Dressed in all white, wearing a hood, the woman lifted her chin and stared back with piercing blue eyes. Caitlin could detect a sense of peace and harmony coming off of her, and she let down her guard. She felt Caleb let down his guard, too.

It was an image of Scarlet’s face. Caitlin felt her stomach roll with anguish. How had her daughter’s face come to be on this ancient text in a lost vampire library? Once again, she thought of destiny. It was as though everything had already been decided. No, it was more than that. If felt as though everything that was happening now had already happened before, as if they were living in a constant loop with history swirling round and round, repeating ad infinitum. The life she was living was just one cycle, one in which the outcome had been predicted before, but was not set in stone. She could change the premonitions and prophecies. Back then, she realized, books were made to be works of art in and of themselves. Caleb lay on their bed, while Scarlet and Ruth were sprawled out on a pile of furs before the fireplace on the far side of the room. This room was so sprawling, that even with all of them in it, Caitlin still felt alone with her thoughts. In the adjacent room, she knew, were Sam and Polly. It had been a long day, and a long feast with Aiden’s coven and the king’s men, and they were all settling in for the night.

Caitlin looked over and saw the twins, Taylor and Tyler, standing behind her. “I made it myself,” Tyler said. “And I added the flourish,” Taylor said. “It’s your typical sangria,” Tyler said. “A little wine, a little fruit—” “And a little something special,” Taylor interjected, “To add a kick. Just for vampires. Fresh venison blood.” He took the pitcher and poured some into a large, jewel-encrusted goblet. Caitlin took it and drank. It was delicious, and it went right to her head.

They stood off to the side, and Caitlin watched as the two vampires in the middle sparred. Caitlin couldn’t believe it. It was Taylor and Tyler. The twins. After all these centuries, here they were, still sparring with each other. As she watched, Tyler came in for a lunge, but Taylor used her wings and flew right over his head; as she did, she cracked him hard in the back with her bamboo sword. There was a roar among the crowd. “No fair!” Tyler yelled to Aiden, who watched patiently. “She used her wings!”

He says as he pulls a package out of his bag and hands it to me. "Oh, what is it?" I remove the cloth that covers the package, it is a very old book with a blood red cover and despite the years is still in good condition. I caress the cover of the book, on it we can read the pack of the twilight. "This is a very old book, the family tree of our pack. " I opened the book, my fingers shaking. I had been wanting to know everything about this community that piques my curiosity for so long, I couldn't believe it.

She was getting bored. She went into the study to search for a new fantasy book. Alberto, her brother, added a new collection after fifteen days. He knew his sister loved to read fantasy books instead of love stories. She was running her fingers over the queue of the book's titles. "Twilight, Dead Beautiful, The Kiss of Deception, Relentless." She whispered the names of the titles, "City Of Bones," She pulled it out from the queue. She hadn't read it.

Lisa ask. I look down at the book in her hand, then back to her. "I have to take care of some paperwork, maybe next time." "Okay." She says sitting her phone back onto the table. I head back to the office and continue to read over the old scrolls about the vampire prince Samuel. After about an hour pass, I hear the sound of a car pulling into the driveway of the house, knowing it must be Tilda. I leave out of the office, heading to the front door.
