They wore their favorite colors, as they always did.
Joy, who was nineteen, wore a black dress. Her blonde wavy hair was neat to perfection, and her brown eyes shone with excitement. She couldn't go to last year's event due to an illness, but she was ready to make an appearance. That was her statement the previous night over dinner.
Amy and Anna, who were a year apart, wore pink ball gowns that seemed too heavy to move in. I was grateful I wasn't born female.
And Tina wore blue, matching the color of our eyes. Amy, Tina, and I looked like our mother, while my older sister, Joy, and Anna got our father's brown eyes instead. None of us got his jet black hair, though.
