“Raven? I'm not worried about her. Definitely not worried about her. Because if she wanted those twins, they would've been together. It's kinda like Trenton, you know?” I nearly laughed. “Oh, speaking of that.” Nova looked at me. “So, if we think they're related and they have the same fucked-up attitude toward mates, whereas the mate given to them by the Moon Goddess isn't good enough, so they reject them, then do you think Raven might tell Trenton that you guys are with the Blackwood twins now?” Nova's eyes widened. “I don't know. Are they close?” She paused, then started thinking aloud.

The metal roof of the SUV buckled as massive, razor-sharp claws ripped straight through the armored ceiling. A rogue wolf—a massive, mangled beta with matted fur and foaming jaws—thrust its head through the torn metal, its yellow eyes locking instantly onto me. It smelled my un-shifted Riverstone blood. It knew exactly what I was. "A Riverstone breeder," the rogue snarled, its voice a sickening, wet growl as it bared its fangs. "The Blackthorn lineage ends tonight." The beast lunged, its claws aiming straight for my throat to tear out my windpipe and kill the Blackthorn lineage.

Waking up today wasn’t my intention. I had a long day ahead of me and of course, I’m always the one who has to work hard. I wasn’t an adopted child, I wasn’t a stepdaughter, but I had an annoying twin sister. Veronica Summers, my identical twin was the opposite of me. She was pampered more by my mum and dad and always caused trouble - of course, I’m always the one to be blamed.

Zephyr felt the air split with ancient power. Beneath the territory, the ley lines roared like a storm breaking free. And in the center of it all stood Raven, chains hanging from her wrists, silver eyes glowing brighter than the flames around her. The ground split with a deafening crack. And something ancient answered her call.

Metal breast plates folded inside the sphere of death and goo. Once Raven was satisfied she let the spell go and the blood splashed all over her and everyone near. The clanking of the breast plates echoed in the silence. Out of the edges the band of soldiers from Scotland came raging forward. Raven lifted her arms high above her head and then threw her hands back down towards the earth. The soldiers rose up and slammed into the ground. Many didn’t get back up.

Luckily, my words didn’t sound too slurred. He smiled and turned to the bartender… who amazingly enough came right over. Everyone who had been waiting for a drink looked over, jealous. The girls kept looking at the guy holding my hand. There was something about him that made him impossible not to look at. If I hadn’t grown up around werewolves I would probably be staring at him too. Werewolves have this amazing ability to attract all the attention around them when they wanted it, and the older, more experienced ones could blend in like they were invisible if they needed to too.

He excused himself from the meeting and led me to a quiet corner of the dining room. "This is a letter," I began, pointing to letters from The Raven. "It shows that Gray and Blackwood were part of something bigger. There's a bigger connection at play here." Nathan frowned mentally and studied the letter. "The Raven... I've heard that name before. It's a nickname for someone who is shady underground, who orchestrates high-level criminal activity but never gets directly involved." A chill ran down my spine. "So Gray and Blackwood were just pawns?"

bodaway asks. “i feel like the forest that the cop told us is now private property has the answers...that trap...the trap you saved me from, had a tranq gun just waiting to fire. they’re looking for something...someone.” i swallow. “it makes me feel like they have her, and they want to find her ‘mate’....i need to find elijah.” “why were you smoking wolfbane?” the other man blurts out. “u-uhh anger management, help keep myself from shifting and becoming a murderer.” i said bluntly. “a rogue is one of my kind that doesn’t take wolfbane supplement.”

I sent a small smile before walking away, this was weird. I couldn't help but notice the masses of sports cars in the car park, a all black Audi R8, a Porsche 911 in silver, a BMW i8 in a bright gold, and a Mercedes AMG GT in silver as well as a motorcycle which I didn't know the name off. I was fond of my cars which is why I knew which was which. I knew people were hella wealthy here, as the stuck up girls and boys had fancy cars but these cars were literally sports cars that no parent would let their child out in for school. I didn't realise I was staring until the doors of the cars swung open and 6 boys came out. Two of them in the Porsche.

I once again felt angry and when I opened my eyes, I can see my reflections in the crystal leaves that my eyes are burning with anger. The girl in front of me step back a little and transferred into a black wolf. I looked intently on her eyes and she quickly attacked me. I defended her using my hands but she was very fast to move. I kicked her but she just avoided by attack. The wind became intense as well as the water but we fight like as if we are doing it for someone. I hit her hard in the stomach causing her to slam at the ground. I was about to grab her head and get it but she immediately stand and step back. She turned into a girl again but totally naked.
