From the corner of my eye, I see Buppig look at me before he bows his head and walks out of the room.

I finally got a copy of “The Fall of The First Prince.” Reading through it, the things that had been changed stood out immensely. What stood out the most was the ending. In the original book, the Prince won the battle but stepped down from his right to the throne for the love of the woman he was with. In the book I’d gotten from the library, he was killed, and she was held captive at the end, though it had tried to be represented as love. Well, that sent a clear message to me. Whoever did this wanted me dead and Jillie to be with them. I scoffed. Like that was going to happen.

The sound of the drums followed again, and behind the king appeared three young men and a beautiful girl with tufts of snow. For the screaming to rise again. "God, have mercy on me." Damontry rolled her eyes. She looked again at the princes to notice that they were only four, and bent down a little to whisper to Danielle. "They are four, where is the Fifth Prince!" No sooner had she finished her sentence than a huge gray wolf appeared in the middle of the princes. "Ladies and gentlemen, Your Highness, the Prince and Crown Prince, William Jong-in." In the palace where the bodies were swaying here and there and some classical music appears in the background.

A wide staircase splits into two, leading to the upper floors. “This,” Adrian says, stopping at the foot of the stairs, “is Iron Wing. You’ll be living here. Ground floor’s common area. Curfew at ten. Boys on the west side, girls on the east. I wasn't sure why it was the case, but I couldn't help feeling very uneasy as I took the book from his hand. I slowly flipped through the pages to find old photographs of people that I did not recognize. Most of them were family portraits of people who seemed wealthy.
