He was dead serious. He was actually, seriously proposing that I—Myra Rossi, the girl who still had fucking stuffed animals (no offense to Mr. Dragon) on her bed—was going to marry Zyran Theon. Damian looked down, and their gazes met. “That’s perfect. We don’t have to get our hands bloody to finish them off.” Damian’s lips found Enola’s. The kiss felt warm in the piercing cold air outside.

I stated, my voice firm. Xavier's hold tightened, and his gaze fastened on mine with an intensity that sent shivers down my spine. "You can try to resist, Sansa," he said, his voice low and brushing against my ear, "but knows that resistance only fuels my desire."

What do I do? He was going to explain later how he was able to link me. For now, I would throw him a bone. I smiled at Sansa and moved over to link my arm with hers. Then I led her closer to Jaxon who looked completely stunned. “Sansa, this is Jaxon. Jaxon, this is Sansa. She’s one of our elite warriors,” I said, smiling at them both. Sansa’s eyes wandered from him to me and back to him. Then she bowed her head to him. Why would she bow her head? I was so very confused right now.

If we ever found ourselves on opposing sides of a conflict, he wouldn't think twice about crushing me. The four kings and their heirs occupy the rest of the chairs: Pakstan of the North with Pharaoah, Theo of the South with Thorn, River of the East, and me, and lastly, Nathan of the fuckin' West with his second son, Elliot.
