Given the name, I assumed the heart mountain was going to be a very scary-looking and lifeless place but rather, it was the total opposite. There was huge trees growing at either side of the mountain and a trail of clean flowing river flowing beside it. “The fox cave is at the entrance of the mountain” Cali says. “Once we enter, we might probably be separated from eachother. Let's try not fall for the illusions” I grumble. “You've said that like a hundred times now, Cali. We get it” Cali nods as he walks into the fox cave first. Just as Kaia was about to walk in, I pulled her into my arms for a hug; placing a light kiss on her forehead. “Let's meet back here as soon as possible”

It was perfect except for the distance from town. The two of them wandered around. They enjoyed spending time alone with each other. They checked out the surrounding area and actually found a small cave nearby, embedded in a rock outcropping. It was about thirty feet deep with relatively smooth walls, with a smaller ten foot enclave off towards the back right-hand corner. "This is so cool," Talia said. "Look," she added, pointing up. There was a spot in the ceiling that had a small hole in it. "That would work as a chimney."

Then, the tires hit the concrete below with a thud, my tires slipping slightly before finding the balance and speeding forward. Six miles in, we reached a junction where the drainage system intersected with a natural limestone cavern, a hidden pocket of the Florida aquifer. Cane signaled for a stop. We pulled our bikes into a shallow pool of crystal-clear water. The cavern was beautiful. Cane dismounted, his movements stiff. The effort of the ride was taking its toll on his still-healing body. He leaned against a limestone pillar, his chest heaving. I was at his side in an instant.
