I pushed the door open and saw Giovanna standing there in my silk robe—my gift from Enzo—and wearing my heirloom pendant. She lifted a brow and mocked me, “The robe fits, the pendant’s mine, and you—get out.” I grabbed Enzo, demanding an explanation, but he shoved a fake contract in my face, saying, “You signed it.” “I did not. Stop lying!” I snapped. He snapped at me, “This is family business. You know nothing.” It seemed three years together was nothing but an act. That very night, I ran away to Milan. I had nowhere to go and no one to turn to until Mark showed up out of nowhere. “Don’t be scared,” he said. “I’ve got you. As long as I’m around, no one touches you.” He protected me, and for a moment, I really thought I’d finally found someone I could rely on. However, when we were practicing at the shooting range later, I stared at him. “Why are you helping me?” I asked. “And don’t tell me it’s because of that mess I left behind.” His eyes flickered for a second before he answered, “Just trust me. That’s all you need to do.” Something about the way he said it made my stomach twist. This whole disaster was all one giant setup. And now here I am, gripping a gun, fighting for justice, but am I really avenging myself? Or was I already someone else’s pawn from the very beginning?

Parting his lips, Jordan placed the burning cigarette on his mouth and stood up from his seat before walking towards his shelves containing all his important documents related business, but soon there a light tug on his arm stopped his actions. It was her, he knew it cause no one other than her had the audacity to enter and exit his cabin without his permission. His wife, Hattiea. Or maybe the woman pretending to be his wife? Jordan's dark eyes landed on the culprit immediately with darkness but as soon as he found her behind him close to him... He got lost for a moment or so... As it was not any marriage of love for them but a marriage full of compromises. Hattiea's eyes soon travelled up from his lips back to his eyes, which were still staring at her ditching their shame. "It's dangerous for your health." Hattiea exclaimed hinting his smoking habit, while looking right into his eyes. Her hazel eyes were blank yet they held millions of emotions. "So are you!" Jordan's smoky breath caressed her face. The deepness of his voice solely made Hattiea's heart race million times faster. It was true... she was dangerous for him. Way too dangerous to handle.

This story is a story about power, the main male character is obsessed with being powerful and by all means wants to get it, that brings about the female lead, represents all he wants. so he concocts a big plan of getting it from her, take it all, her power, her wealth and leaves her with nothing. the female lead though isn't one who wants to forget this so she strikes back, she loses so much to give up, so she comes back, with anger for her sword and is determined to not stop until the people who hurt her knows what it feels like to be broken.

....สู่การเดินทางของหนุ่มน้อยปราณวารีและลูกหมีแพนด้า.... หลินเซียนนั้นได้นำแบบอย่างจากพระเอกอนิเมะแนวฝึกฝนเซียนดังๆ ของจีนหลายๆ เรื่องที่พอผมดูไปนานๆ 4-6 ปีแล้วอยากได้พระเอกที่ดูเป็นเซียนจริงๆ ไม่เอาชื่อเซียนมาเล่าเรื่องคน ผมก็เลยทำพระเอกคนนี้ขึ้นมา หลินเซียนเป็นคนที่รู้จักเศร้าและทุกข์ในเรื่องของผู้อื่น เสียสละ มีคุณธรรม เมตตาธรรม กตัญญู ไม่ฆ่า (ถ้าไม่จำเป็น) และไม่ขโมย ในเรื่องนี้แม้เป็นเซียนก็ไม่ได้ยิ่งใหญ่กว่ามนุษย์ไปทุกเรื่อง พระเอกเรื่องนี้แม้เป็นเซียนระดับสูงแต่ก็มีบางครั้งได้รับคำสอนจากปราชญ์มนุษย์ได้เช่นกัน ในเรื่องมีการนำความเชื่อ ตำนาน และปรัชญาทางเต๋าและพุทธเข้ามาปะปนด้วยพอสมควร มีเทพ มีปีศาจ มีมาร มีชนเผ่าที่มาจากต่าวดวงดาว โลกวิญญาณ มีเทพเจ้า และมี....พระเจ้าผู้สร้างโลก แถมยังนำความเชื่อเรื่องวันสิ้นโลกที่มีพบในตำนานควมเชื่อทั้งโลกตะวันออกและโลกตะวันตกนั่นคือน้ำท่วมโลกเพื่อ reset ทุกสิ่งใหม่เข้ามาอีกด้วย และผู้ที่จะล้างโลกด้วยวารีก็ไม่ใช่ใคร....คือหลินเซียนนี่เอง....
