The Obsidian Covenant #1: The Rejected Mate's Ruin

The Obsidian Covenant #1: The Rejected Mate's Ruin

Dead leaves skittering on stone. I leaned over the document. My wrists screamed where the cuffs had been removed—phantom pressure still crushing the radius. My hand shook. I forced my eyes to focus. The text swam. THE OBSIDIAN COVENANT: TETHER PROTOCOL Asset ID: Neoma Solstice (Void-Born Classification) Owner: The Lugal, transferred to Unit Vanguard Command. Contract Luna

I didn’t question it, I just took a deep breath and ignored the pain as I spoke the words needed to reject both him and the pack. “I, Brooklyn Blakley, renounce Lunar Eclipse as my pack.” I felt the bond to the pack break and I felt as if a weight was lifted from me. “I, Brooklyn Blakley, accept the rejection of Chad Kershaw, future Alpha of Lunar Eclipse, as my mate.” I finished.

I will work on a sequel but it will be a bit down the road after I finish some other books. Thank you all for your support with this book. I wasn't expecting so many of you to enjoy it. it was only intended to be a side project, but I will continue the story with Eric for the sequel.

This is the strong female transformation that many authors aim for. The author has done a wonderful job developing the characters, and gives a view of overcoming trauma in a delicate and empowering way. Consistently feminist (hard to do in this niche) and well written with only a few mistakes.

Breaking Locks

Breaking Locks

Until that call, "Boss, it turns out, Dashkov is behind the latest disturbances on the cartel; the burning down of the South Gambling den, the raiding of most of our warehouses and the attempts on Miss Jasmine and the boy." Adrenaline pumped furiously through Marcello's veins as the last sentence echoed from the phone to his ear. That bastard!!! Marcello thought, "How valid is this discovery?" "The mole just confessed after a put a knife through his girlfriend's eye. They're working in coalition with the Russians."

REJECTED LUNA MARKED WITH A CURSE

Kaelis muttered. “Wolves like us… we need words for guidance. She doesn’t even growl or snarl. Nothing.” I feel tired of her already. They continued talking and thought I couldn’t hear them. “She’s hiding something,” Lark continued. “Or she’s broken. Either way, I’m not following someone I don’t understand.” Thalor stepped forward. “Maybe she’s testing us,” he said softly. “Maybe she wants us to prove ourselves.” Kaelis snorted. “Prove ourselves to a ghost? I’d rather hunt alone than follow someone who can’t even speak.”

REJECTED LUNA RETURNS FOR WAR!

REJECTED LUNA RETURNS FOR WAR!

“They’re not running. They’re preparing something.” Rogers looked at me steadily. “The document Kennedy had,” he said. “Yes.” “The reversal mechanism.” “Yes.” We stood in the empty cavern with the understanding assembling itself between us. “They’re going to attempt it,” Rogers said. “They’re going to attempt it,” I said. “With Leon as conduit. In the chamber. During the ritual.” I paused. “If they succeed—” “The Ancient Lycan dies,” Rogers said. “Yes.” “And Leon—” “Survives,” I said. “The conduit survives the reversal. That’s what the document said.” I kept my voice even. “But the Ancient Lycan’s death ends the binding. Everything he built collapses.” I looked at my brother. “Everything we’

UNTAMED

UNTAMED

Mace's lips curled into a sardonic smile, his sarcasm evident in his tone. "Are you telling me that a group of squatters is holding up my construction project?" Jacobson nodded, his expression apologetic. "Yes, sir, it appears they have some legal standing to stay there." Mace leaned back in his chair, his fingers steepled in front of him. He regarded Jacobson with a calculated intensity. "Then do whatever it takes to get them out. Buy the property if you must, with or without their consent." Jacobson hesitated once more, the weight of Mace's demand heavy on his shoulders.
