I'm not sure what's happening to me, but I feel good about what I'm doing. A few hours pass as I chop until my arms are too weary to lift an alcoholic drink. In the distance, I've noticed a few she-bears walk out of their way to avoid me. I know they are shy around men. I'd learned this tidbit from the male bears who worked the nightclub. I only met two she-bears working there and they avoided me too. Those bears seem to be smarter than the average female. I was known for sleeping with any willing woman, drinking too much, and knocking down a few walls when things were at their worst. It's surprising that Dmitri put up with me as long as he did.

I groaned when I found myself disappointed that Carson wasn’t there. I threw my hands up in frustration. Maybe this entire town was crazy. Maybe the crazy one was me to feel the way I did about a bear. I stopped to turn fully towards the forest. Maybe I was crazy for not believing what I had seen. Maybe some humans really did turn into bears. Arms wrapped around me from behind.

"I've met a lot of people who've been banished. They were all like you. They thought they could reach the end of the forest. None of them came back" "Maybe they reaced after all ", he said continuing. "I've been here a hundred and twelve years". He ignored. Suddenly, a bear burst out of the bushes. It could have has Harvey for breakfast in one quick swoop. "Togo! He's our guest! ", she screamed. "Guest? ", Harvey asked, dumbfounded. The bear, which was as tall as an oak tree, roared. It shook all trees nearby like a heavy wind. "Sorry, Togo doesn't really like humans", she apologized. He looked at her. It was then it all came together.

“I can’t smell that good,” I told him. “You can and do.” He cleared his throat. “At least you can see the floor, now.” He gestured to the ground, which I could see. “Have you ever had a girl in here before?” I asked, curiosity leaking into my voice. “No. A bear’s den is private; I’d go mad it if smelled like anyone else in here.” “You know I don’t have to stay here, Grizzly. If it makes you uncomfortable, it’s totally fine for me to stay—”
