Silent tears rolled down my face. Why? Why couldn't I just have a normal family and a happy life? I never wanted to hurt anyone. I never even got involved with the things they did. But maybe I wasn't innocent either. The money that was used to raise me was dirty, stained with blood and tears. No matter how much I tried to deny it, I couldn't escape payback forever. I just never thought the price would be my own family trying to kill me. When Neil saw me crying, his whole face darkened with fury.

The mission was a success. Anathea's eyes brimmed with tears, their rims reddening. She bit her lip, trying hard not to sob out loud, as she didn't want Gregory to notice. Gregory put down his phone. He'd already seen a tear slide from the corner of her eye, leaving a faint trace down her cheek. He reached out to wipe away her tears, pretending not to know anything. "Why are you crying?" "Just got something in my eye," Anathea answered.

I reached out and brushed my hand across her cheek, wiping away the tear clinging there. “What are you doing?” she asked, her voice high with panic. She blinked at me, a little stunned. “I’m not crying anymore, I swear,” she added with a sniffle trying to sound brave. I tightened my grip on her shoulder. “Tears of grief!” I shouted. The moment I named it, the tear shimmered with power. The pain she had felt, the heartbreak, the fear of losing me it transformed into a luminous barrier of water between us and the dark flames.

She said as Veronica continued to gaze at her. Veronica blinked her eyes, and it took her some moment before she finally spoke. “I’m tired of crying. For half a decade, there hasn’t been a day when my eyes didn’t shed tears. Happy tears, sad tears, angry tears, helpless tears, surprise tears, and so on. I have shed every kind of tear!”

A small slither of happiness wraps around my heart, and yet I still can't stop the tears from falling. "Thank you." He whispers out, like those two words were the hardest thing to ever say in his life. Shock overcomes my body as my head shoots up to look at him, my vision slightly blurry from the tears. We just stare at one another no words between the two of us. As he wipes my tears from my cheeks, Alessandro's palm rises up to cup my cheek, warmth soaking into the skin there. His steely eyes meet my green ones. Time appears to have stopped, leaving only Alessandro and myself.

Tears of shame, anger and hopelessness. “At least I didn’t get hurt by you.” I whisper as the first tear overflows and fall down my cheek. His grip on my chin softens and he runs the pad of his thumb over my cheek to dry my tears. “You need the pain I give you. It is only physical.”

I am sorry. A tear escaped from his eyes.

“Yes.” Tears shine in Ben’s eyes but they don’t fall, my shoulders vibrate and a sob escapes my throat. What was supposed to be a cry of joy turns into full blown tears. I break down in his arms. The tears don’t stop pouring. I cry harder as he rubs my back and mutters sweet nothings into my ear. It’s not what he thinks.

he whispered. "I love you too, Kai," I replied with tears starting to fall. Then I wrapped my arms tightly around his waist. We stayed in that position for a while until a loud bang on the door startled us both. Bang...!

Silent sobs wracked her body as the floodgates of her tears burst open. The tears streamed down Ava's cheeks, releasing the pent-up frustration, hurt, and confusion that had been building within her. Each sob echoed in the empty room, a poignant reminder of the shattered bond between the sisters. It felt as if a part of her had been torn away, leaving her feeling raw and vulnerable.
