Unloved and Left to Burn

Unloved and Left to Burn

I huddled in the corner, trying to cover my nose and mouth with my clothes. Unfortunately, the lights flicked on, and the entire house exploded. I was thrown several meters and my body was torn up from the blast. I did not even leave a whole corpse behind. My family knew nothing of what had transpired. Harvey impatiently pulled out his phone and tried calling me. But my phone was long gone, destroyed in the explosion, so there was no answer. This had never happened before. I had set special ringtones for each of my family members and always answered right away. For the first time, my radio silence made Harvey frown, a hint of unease crossing his face.

The Unwritten Vow

"Think about it. I need to prove I’m not a pathetic loser, and you, you look like you could use some excitement in your life. It’s a win-win!” Elliot stared at her, completely unreadable. sarah giggled. "Oh come on. Just imagine the headlines. 'Mysterious Billionaire Marries Heartbroken Drunk Girl." Silence. Sarah pouted. "Not even a chuckle? Wow, you’re really committed to this whole emotionless businessman thing, huh?" She sighed dramatically, lifting her glass. "Fine, fine I get it. I’ll just marry myself or something." Sarah nodded enthusiastically, her drunken logic making perfect sense to her. "Think about it. You’re u're rich, I'm... well, not as rich but I'm not terrible. You clearly

 UNWED AND EXPECTING

UNWED AND EXPECTING

**Secrets in the Shadows** Sophia sat by the window, staring out into the distance as the evening sun dipped below the horizon. She held the journal tightly in her lap, its worn cover whispering of untold mysteries and forgotten truths. The room was silent, save for the gentle ticking of the old grandfather clock that had stood in the corner of the room for generations. Her thoughts swirled with Eleanor’s cryptic warnings, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that they were stepping into something far beyond what they had ever imagined.

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

The CEO’s Regret: My Ex-Wife is the Hidden Tycoon

"The Vance family built a world where every breath was an advance on a debt you couldn't see. But out here, the air doesn't keep a tally." I looked down at my hands. The stain from the printer's ink was fading, turning into a faint, gray shadow along the creases of my palms. The phantom in the silk suit, the Faceless Author, the iron pens—they were all sinking into the deep, dark reservoir of the unwritten past. We had torn the book in half, and in doing so, we had finally broken the sequence. The Geography of the Unwritten

Unwillingly Yours

Unwillingly Yours

He cleared his throat, feeling awkward. "Then don't talk to me." "Okay." "Mind your business." "Okay." The omega was slightly thrown off by how easily the other was agreeing. He looked away, rubbing his arms. Silence hung between them, each thinking of their problems. And if Mike snuck a few glances at the alpha's striking face, that was no one's business but his. *************** Connor watched as Bruno heartlessly cut the animal into pieces. It never seized to baffle hik how the old man seemed comfortable in doing such inhumane stuff.

Weight of Words Untold

Weight of Words Untold

I know it's not the best gift, but given our friendship, I hope you don't mind. I had thought long and hard about it, and I decided I didn't want to be buried with my parents and Fred. I couldn't face them. I didn't like the cold, damp ground either—I much preferred the warm, green forests of the mountains. Before I left, I glanced back at Keith's trembling figure in the kitchen. He was still such a soft-hearted crybaby. I stepped out of his apartment complex and into the bustling streets. The freezing winds and dark clouds seemed to have passed, and the warm sunlight felt soothing on my skin.

Unravel Us

Unravel Us

Warren I fucked up. Well and truly. And I didn’t know how to fix it, which wasn’t like me, I knew how to fix issues, it was a simple call, pull of strings, words whispered to the right people and everything I needed to be done would be. But with Heron, there were no strings to pull, the irony of her being a seamstress was not lost on me. I stood a moment, the cold night air mocking me as I gripped tightly on the drink between my fingers. The smooth crystal glass, warping my features as I stared down at it. Not able to stomach the liquid for the first time.

Unwritten Mates

Unwritten Mates

The funeral was beautiful in its simplicity, even if it felt like my heart was being ripped apart with every passing second. Luca and Kimmy, two lives that should’ve burned brightly for years to come, were instead reduced to glowing embers, drifting out over the still waters of the lake. Their coffins—handcrafted by the pack—sat atop makeshift rafts that floated gently until the fire consumed them completely. Flames licked the sky, casting long shadows over the gathered wolves. It was a hauntingly poetic farewell, but no amount of beauty could erase the ache in my chest.

love the fact the author helps the readers feel all those emotions we feel in relationships from the happiest to the most self loathing, but gives you that hope that of course love will conquer, even when we don't feel we deserve it!

the story is so human. focusing on emotions. the people are highly emotional beings especially Kat and Reegan and so they make so many mistakes that seems idiotic. though the dealing with emotions could be better. This story is captivating and steamy and I just couldn't put it down

The Unwanted Marriage

The Unwanted Marriage

The summer haze has lifted up and replaced itself with one crisp, almost electrifying, energy of a wholly new academic year. Old books intermixed with freshly waxed floors filled the air while traversing the hurrying corridors of the university-a forced marriage, a confusing encounter with MJ, and a painful breakup with Karen: all of these left a bitter aftertaste at the back of my throat, and I was determined to bury myself in my studies as if in search of some remnant of normalcy.
