Midnight Horror Show

said Johnson, “Like one of them, whatchamacallit?” “Urban legends,” said Taylor. “Yeah,” said Johnson. “It’s spooky.” “You ever hear the one about the girl? You know, the hitchhiker girl on the old north county road,” said Sullivan. “No,” said Johnson. “If you drive out there alone at night, you might see her,” smirked Sullivan. “She’s real pretty. Gorgeous. And she stops cars and asks for a ride, see? And then she tries to get you to go into the woods with her and if you go you’ll get lost and then she disappears.”

Maid for Him

Maid for Him

“Folktales tell that Upland’s deity was a mermaid who abandoned the people for the constant wickedness many engaged in.” “That’s interesting,” Amber remarked. “True. It’s been a long time since anyone mentioned it, though. No one would believe.” “I see. No wonder Isis and her daughter didn’t believe me either,” Amber stated, remembering the unpleasant drama that had played out when she had told them. She quickly blocked out a threatening replay of the mocking laughter that had erupted from them that evening. "She was breathtaking with a golden tail." Miriam froze for a few seconds, in surprise, in deep thoughts. Her reaction worried Amber.

The Alpha's Secret Quadruplets

The Alpha's Secret Quadruplets

Louis grinned and said, "Welcome, Kamara, to the most beautiful pack on these lands." "I heard stories about it," I said, recalling stories my father had told about the Mystic moon pack, which bore similarities to the urban mythology of the city's lost human population at sea. However, Dad consistently informed me that it was a tale passed down from our ancestors, but none of them could ever confirm it. "We'll have plenty of time to talk about that later," he remarked, taking my hand and introducing me to the pack members. "The legends are real. You should see with your own eyes for better clarity."

Alora: My Hybrid Luna

Alora: My Hybrid Luna

The sage raised his hand, commanding silence without a word. “I must speak,” Sage Callum said in a modulated voice that only the person in his position can use. “I did not wish to burden Morgan with this before, but the truth must be told.” He stood slowly and cautiously with his walking stick to the center. His face contorted into thin lines. “There is an old myth…one most of you have been told by your fathers and ancestors. A myth that has long been forgotten, and even I don't believe anymore. For years, I thought it was merely a story, until recently when I began to have visions.”

This book is not getting the recognition that it deserves. It's too good. The love line and the conflicted emotions make it took irresistible. If you are scrolling and wondering how good this book is... It's a ten. Go for it ......
FRAGRANT IRIS
I have read about 10 chapters in this story and I will confess I love the plot twist, the story is really good. I wanna believe that his mate has nothing to do with his brother's situation and I just wish she gets her way with her mate and they live happily ever after without violent interfering

Echoes of Moonfire

the old man continued, eyes gleaming, “but a creature—ancient and starved—that disguises itself in bark and moss. It waits. Hungers. And when the moon is thin, it feeds.” He ended the story with a dramatic swish of his cloak and sat back down as the fire popped and sparked. Ryan leaned toward me, smirking. “Ten gold coins says that story’s based on a real thing.” I rolled my eyes. “You’re probably right.” After some time, I stood. “I need to… step away for a minute.” Ryan nodded. “Don’t get eaten by any whispering trees.” “Thanks for the vote of confidence.” I slipped away from the firelight.

My Ex's Father Is My Alpha Daddy

My Ex's Father Is My Alpha Daddy

She finally blinked, turning away from me to grab the broom from the corner of the kitchen without making eye contact. “It's a myth,” she muttered, her back still turned. “A myth,” I repeated, not buying it for a second. “An old one.” She swept the broken glass into a neat pile, her movements tight and forced. “The elders used to tell it to the pups to keep them from wandering out into the woods at night. A scary name, a scary story. That's all it is.” “So I just happened to have a horrific nightmare about a bedtime story I've never even heard before?”

A Way To Survive

A Way To Survive

Half a month later, Clement and Anthea arrived at the bungalow in Uri's impatience and anticipation, this time, they also brought him lots of food. Sitting in a wooden house without candlelight, Anthea hugged Uri's arm in fear. "Why don't you light a candle? I'm afraid of the dark." "Should not." Clement immediately objected. "Having light will easily attract the attention of others. Your brother, his friend, and I are here; what are you afraid of?" Anthea did not dare to ask for more. She sat quietly beside Uri, listening to the stories of the men. "In the book about the creator god, I saw a passage about how mankind was saved from the devil's clutches by Genesis and became the master of th

I grew up thinking they were sisters. "She killed herself. She walked straight into the Phantom Forest and those wolves killed her," Ms Morris exclaimed. My jaw clenched. Just like the rest of this town, these women are one drumstick short of a picnic basket. No one has ever seen a Phantom Wolf, and here they are convincing themselves that they do actually exist. "Did they find the body?" I ask, wondering why there would be a poster up otherwise. The women shrug at the same time. "No...But she was a little bit strange, so we don't doubt it was a suicide-"

Hugh asked "I tried taking a picture but my phone went blank" she complained Hugh just laughed at her, "let me tell you a story about this stream, we werewolves say it's a myth but I doubt" Hugh said as sat down, Lucie followed him and took a seat beside him "Long ago it was told that this river swallowed humans, then the werewolves didn't know humans exist as humans didn't know we exist, but patrol teams always found dead bodies in it, and they looked like us but we knew they were not us through their scent, that was how we got to know that other beings exist, they said the water draws any foreign being that is not if this world to it, and they will walked into it and drawn, it helped keep

Auctioned Mates Revenge

Auctioned Mates Revenge

“This car will take up halfway up, and we’ll have to climb the rest of the way. You know the story of Looming Height?” Who didn’t? The story went that the mountain had been raised back when there were still mages and long before werewolves had taken over the society. It was a myth, at best, but a charming bedtime story. Something about a wolf who had carried his mate to the top of the peak as a show of eternal love while pleading with the moon goddess to save her life after a battle. My father would tell it to us on Valentine’s Day. The prick of pain that came with thinking of them melted into anger as I sat in the cable car.

It’s not for everyone because of the dark parts of the story but I couldn’t stop reading it after getting over some parts that made my skin crawl & cringe. There were some incomplete sentences which were annoying. Thought it could be longer to make it more complete at the end.

Great story. There are some heavy chapters to get through so if rape, sex trafficking or abuse are triggers for you then skip this book!!! If they aren't triggers for you then I highly recommend this book. I agree with other comments that the incomplete sentences were annoying.
