The van door widened. A pale arm shot out. I reached Mina first and pulled her against me. The hand closed around my sleeve. Cold fingers dug into my skin. I twisted. A face appeared inside the van. Grey skin. Sunken cheeks. Red veins webbed across colourless eyes. The creature smiled. “My queen.” Water burst from the gutter. It struck the hand and tore it away. The van accelerated. A black car cut across the road and slammed into its side. Metal screamed. Hayate stepped out before his vehicle stopped moving.

She was panting; blood drooling from her nose. “You are the reason why Eku passed early. Why my bestfriend passed early!” Another punch landed on her stomach. She spat on the snow-covered ground, ignoring the fact that she was a vampire. She was a vampire. How the fuck could Romaine forget that? When Hans was about to punch her again, she charged at him with her claws on his exposed face, earning her a whimper from him…and a chance to grab his exposed neck with her sharp claws. Romaine lifted the poor Hans from the ground with one hand only. Blood fell like tears on the snow. Yet, he didn’t shed a tear. He still has that unyielding, stone-cold face.

"Even more lovely," she licked blood red lips, "your heart will give us even more power than we have ever had and we will conquer the villages and rip their heart to shreds."

The vampire looked at Vlad who gave a short nod from his head as a go ahead before returning his gaze at Hiro. "Marcus, master." "In your next life, choose a better master." Hiro said with a devilishly smile, all his teeth were getting in a shape like a shark's own. "I don't understand." Marcus didn't get to finish his words when one of Hiro hands went through the Vampire's middle, his fingers slightly moved to the left side of the breastbone (sternum) and went in, when his fingers came out, it brought the undead heart of the Vampire and right before Vlad eyes, Marcus turned into ashes which suddenly disappeared.
