This party was not held because of some trend. This party was themed to be a Masquerade Ball to keep the identities of people attending the party hidden. It was necessary, as many underworld Mafias were going to attend the party today. A special secret code card was required to come inside the mansion. The security was also on high alert, as William Adams suspected that Beast will come today.

“I’m going to help you with this, and you’re going to let me.” “Fine,” I said quickly. “I’ll go with you.” A smile lit his eyes. “Alright. I’ll stop by your room to pick you up. Wear black. I’ll get you a mask.” “It’s a masquerade?” He shrugged. “They love themed parties around here. The longer you stay here, the more you realize how vain everyone is.”

Intricate gothic borders frame the screen, and the words VAMP PARTY flash in bold, crimson letters that appear to be actively dripping blood down my phone screen. “Uhhh…” I look up at him, entirely confused. “What on earth is a vamp party?” Julian quickly lunges forward with lightning speed, snapping his teeth aggressively just an inch away from the sensitive skin of my neck. I let out a startled shriek, jerking backward into the couch cushions as my pulse violently quickens. “It’s a vampire costume party, Harper,” he whispers, dropping his voice into a dramatic, menacing rasp, widening his blue eyes to look unhinged.

By the time I return, I am ragged, my clothes torn and my body aching. Hudson is waiting outside the pack house with his arms folded and a grim expression on his face. He holds something in his hand and holds it out to me. “While you were gone,” he says slowly, “this arrived.” A letter? I snatch it from him, tearing it open, then my eyes trace the words. The vampire lord? An invitation to the Crimson Masquerade for three days. His words drip with arrogance, stating their many high individuals that would be attending and how much I wouldn't want to miss it for anything in the world.

We all threw our hands up into the air, cheering, including Marie and me. This would be the first-ever party for Roma Aesthetics, and everyone was required to attend. Mr. Smith added, “A masquerade party suits everyone’s taste, so let’s go for that. The party will be held three days from now.” It became the main talk of our simple office celebration.
