Eli and the other vampires traveled for days, crossing deserts and mountains, until they reached a remote valley. There, they found a hidden cave, which had been used by their ancestors during times of great crisis. As they entered the cave, Eli felt a sense of foreboding wash over him. He knew that the journey ahead would be difficult and dangerous, but he also knew that it was necessary if they were going to defeat the new threat. The cave was dark and damp, and the air was thick with the scent of ancient magic. Eli and the other vampires gathered around a large stone altar, where they began to perform a ritual to call upon the spirits of their ancestors for guidance and protection.

My condolences to the victims, but vampire attacks were just so stupidly unrealistic. Like creatures of the night actually existed. Right, sure. “Mr. Vale’s not in right now.” Celine said at the reception, looking me up and down.

You’re a marked luna, you can talk to any pack members through the mind link.” Ember let out a sigh. She was not using it so much, on several occasions but that was before Veronica happened. And it was only to Liam, she didn’t try to talk to any of the pack member through that link.

’ I thought testing our mind link. ‘No, it’s the sandman.' I could almost see him rolling his eyes and I let out a wolfy grin. ‘Where are you? It’s getting late and your mom is getting worried. You know how nervous she is especially with all the news of those─’ ‘Vampires.’ I finished for him. ‘I know, I know.’ ‘I know you do.’ I sighed internally and because of the link, he heard. 'It's okay. I’ll be back soon.’ I said and ended the mental link, forcing him out of my head.

Runa asked, regaining a few of her lost nerves. "No. I couldn't smell a damn thing!" Ciaran's voice was loud in the small space, Runa jumped. "How is it I can hear him and you can not? I always thought vampires could not mind link a werewolf." Runa questioned. "They can't. They can only link to their king and others of their bloodline." Runa nodded. "So it's true then, that he really is my father." She mumbled, and looked out her window before she let out a blood curdling scream.
