She was tired and would love nothing more than to rest for a while. She chuckled sarcastically. That was another difference between vampires and vympires. Vampires required sleep to regenerate. They selected the daylight hours to do this since they were in a weakened state then anyway. Vympires required very little sleep; not more than a few hours

I looked at Kill who was already lying down on the bed. This is the first time I saw him asleep. Can a vampire like him experience exhaustion? As I was still busy looking at him, my body involuntarily leaned closer to him. As I realized what I was doing, my eyes suddenly widened as I strived to move my body backward while not making any noise. My eyes stayed widened looking at him as I already fixed my seat. I slowly turned to see the bed and the space behind him. Will I sleep there?! God knows I am too chaotic if I am asleep!

Not in near future. “Please..." I pleaded, feeling more desperate and scared at the thought that he might feed on me if I fall asleep. “Rest.” he ignored my pleading, fixating his ice blue eyes into my brown ones and I sighed in defeat. I know better than to argue with a vampire. A sob escaped through my lips before my eyelids finally gave in as I drifted off into a deep sleep. *5 days later*

“Why are you helping us?” The vampire drops his head to look at me, sighs, and rapidly descends. He lowers me to the ground and takes a seat under the nearest tree, leaning with his back against the trunk. “I need to rest,” he says. “The sun saps my vitality, and the last few days I haven’t slept at all.” “Do you ever sleep at night?” “No. I physically can’t.” “And you have to force yourself to stay awake during the day?”

He licked his thumb sensually and stood. He moved to sit on the chair in front of the bed and rest his head back, closing his eyes. "You don't have to stay you know." I could handle it if Alex needed anything. "After you eat go to sleep. You have classes in the morning." He didn't bother looking up or opening his eyes and I knew for a fact that he wasn't sleeping. "I know you not sleeping. Vampires don't sleep." "Oh well, you quite the vampire expert aren't you."

Though her vision wasn’t as sharp as that of full-blooded vampires, she could still make out the sleeping figures of Jess and the other girl. "Jess," she nudged her friend, but Jess was too deep in sleep to wake. Giving up, Via turned to her snobbish roommate instead. Unsurprisingly, the vampire ignored her. Via knew for certain she wasn’t asleep—vampires didn’t sleep—so she was being ignored on purpose. Irritated, she decided to check out the source of the noise herself. Clad only in her thin nightwear, she stepped out of bed and headed for the door.

With all the mouth you've got, you are so terrible when it comes to sleeping. You completely ruined my privacy, sleeping right on me is just…”

I laid there, my hands to my chest as I waited for him. "Aren't you gonna sleep?" He chuckled, "Vampires don't sleep." I felt like a mountain fell on my head and I sat up quickly. "I'm sorry. I…I forgot. I will sleep in my room." I tried to get up but he hovered over me. His body weight felt delicious on top of me. But I focused on his face. "You can sleep here while I work there on my desk." His look turned to a corner of the room where I found a medium sized desk and few papers laying there.

I ask him, almost desperate to taste his blood again. “Yes, but I’ve learned to control it and you will too,” he says. “Come on, it’s time for my mate and my little vampire to get some sleep.” “Vampires don’t sleep,” I yawn as I lift off of him and slide down on the bed. “Hybrid vampires go into a deep meditation which is what our little one will do while you sleep my love. I’ll be here when you wake up.” I smile, snuggling up against my mate.

It made her angry and so fucking hurt—but not enough to want to see her husband like this. She crawled onto the bed, moving slowly to straddle the vampire. She placed a hand on his chest, almost wishing his heart wasn’t so dead. He didn’t even breathe. Honestly, he might as well have been a corpse. It was bizarre to see him like this. Silas didn’t sleep—it wasn’t physically possible for him. Though sometimes he did try to imitate it, on those good nights when they would cuddle together after a passionate session. She would wake up to find him still, eyes closed. But not nearly this convincing.
