Except there was no blood dripping from his mouth as always described in books. Yet, she was still scared senseless at the sight of a living, vampire right in front of her eyes. He moved closer to her again but this time, she was prepared and understood what he was. She lunged on her feet in fright and prepared to flee. But she had barely moved two steps when that figure appeared in front of her again.

Devin sighed and gave me a pity look. “He’ll come around.” He assured me. “In the meantime, it’s a beautiful day and the sun is up. You wanna go for a walk?” he asked and shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal, only if he knew what he just did. He just invited a vampire for a walk, in the sun. Good thing I’m a day lighter. “Sure.” I said and stood up from the chair I was seated. “So, what do you wanna talk about?” He asked swinging his arms beside him while staring at my face making me a little more uncomfortable than I already am.

Nick and I nodded, “Do you accept your position as queen of the vampires and relinquish your life to the vampires as a hybrid?” “Yes.” “NO!” Mara yelled, but we continued, “Do you accept her as your queen, lover and mate?” Mandy asked Nick, he nodded, “Yes.” She took a knife and cut my hand first and then Nick’s, “This is the blood oath, this will bind your souls together for eternity.” She then muttered words in another language that sounded romanian or greek. She then placed our hands together and Nick bit my neck; I winced at the sudden pain but it soon disappeared

Her eyes caught him cutting a rose as he in turn revealed his intention. "Lara my love, my cupcake, the mother of our child and other children to come. Please can you give us another chapter in life. I know you have given me your life for eternity. Your body, your love and your soul as well. Will you grant me your word to be my wife. I am not good with this but l just want to say 'marry me'," he finished as he put a ring on her finger without waiting for her answer as if he already knew. She ended up saying yes yes as she cried on his chest, she never expected to get married to a vampire but here she is loving one with all her being. She herself turning into one of them for his sake.

With all his heart, he poured his love into her, and suddenly, the darkness began to recede. The other vampires joined in, pouring their love into the battle, and together they were able to push back the darkness.

But none of these strange things stuck to me the way the strange breathtaking girl did. The girl with the snow white skin, and long gray hair, you'd think it wasn't real. True, that she hadn't said a word to me, or even spared me a glance... but her presence was suffocating. Cold. Ethereal. Distant. Like she belonged to another time, another world entirely. She was the kind of character you'd see in horror movies. Her porcelain skin made me remember the vampires from the "twilight" movie, and that thought made me shudder.

I almost felt bad that the knife I kept under my pillow was of little use. Even as I read through the pages, I couldn't find anything about vampires being psychic. Apart from having incredible strength, speed, and immortality, they seemed just like any other person. Well, except that they disliked sunlight—but even that was something they were adapting to. I closed the book and put it away. my stomach grumbled slightly, reminding me that I haven't eaten, but I didn't want to go downstairs either, in fear that I would run into Silas. I lay on her bed, staring up at the ceiling. Eventually, I grew drowsy and then fell asleep.
