His Unchosen bride

His Unchosen bride

Arabella crossed the room without deciding to, kneeling beside him again where he still sat on the floor of his father’s study, and this time she didn’t wait for permission before taking his hand. “She named a woman who wouldn’t let ambition make you disappear,” Vivian said softly, some of the fight draining out of her voice entirely now. “Someone who’d stayed herself in rooms that tried to erase her. She never named a specific person, Adrian. She left it to whoever eventually saw that quality in someone and had the courage to choose them.” Her eyes moved, finally, fully, to Arabella. “I always assumed that meant it should have been me. I spent years making myself into someone who’d disappea

AWAKENING IN SECRETS

AWAKENING IN SECRETS

She wasn't sure why Chandler's family had never bothered him about marrying, but she was certain that they would not approve of their excellent son marrying a girl who was not only a maid but also lacked any other qualifications to stand by Chandler's side. Vanity only attended high school, and her dream of attending university was crushed that day years ago. She knew she needed to change her identity after becoming a vampire, so she did what a woman should do to get what she wants, and she did it. DON'T MESS WITH THE HEIRESS

DON'T MESS WITH THE HEIRESS

The Phoenix that my father had obsessed over—a symbol of resurrection and ruthless efficiency—was nothing compared to this. The sun was like a crown over the ridge burning away the morning mist that clung to the valley floor like a veil. This wasn't a takeover of the day; it was an invitation. The transition from Elena, the architect of the Vane legacy to Hannah the woman standing in the dirt was jarring. My mind still flickered with the ghosts of the city—the briefs that were currently being filed in my absence the Black Wing assets being frozen and the inevitable storm of scandal that would soon break over the Vane name.

Your Last Lie to Me! {Book One}

Your Last Lie to Me! {Book One}

The papers the next day after the Spring Council had read, ‘Bankrupt dutchess orders for a custom made gown. I think that was the first time as a reader I had sympathized with Vivanna. When she had asked the Prince why he had not defended her honour to the papers, consequently, this led to the scene where Vivanna asked the Prince if he had ever loved her. That was the first time he had ever straightforwardly rejected Vivanna. I mean, my sympathy was shortlived because she sent a mage to tamper with Daisy’s carriage, paid Daisy’s driver to drink and paid some bounty hunters to attack Daisy…

World of Tomorrow

World of Tomorrow

Like the Fair’s souvenir map booklet was intended to be discarded, even shamefully lavish with its high-quality paper pages printed in brightly saturated colorful candy-coated bites, this shining city promoting utopian equality had been built with labor strife, a place for ‘the people’ that excluded millions of the common folk with the mere cost of admission. “I understand what you meant now,” Evelyn said quietly as they rounded the Lagoon of Nations following the other opening ceremony guests past exhibit after exhibit while the Fair’s employees worked behind the closed gates and doors on last minute preparations before the moment of opening. Stepping out of the way of other attendees, Mr.

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

The Replacement Bride

The Replacement Bride

“Go ahead.” Her fingers played with the edge of her glass. “Since we’re now a team… I think we should look into Vivian.” My brow lifted. “What about her?” “She’s always been ambitious,” Hilary said, her voice steady now. “But the way she rose so quickly never made sense. After she married my father, she went from nothing to running Windsor Couture almost overnight. There are gaps. Things that don’t add up.” I listened carefully as she went on.

ENTANGLED WITH MY CONTRACTED HUSBAND

ENTANGLED WITH MY CONTRACTED HUSBAND

But all of that changed when Alexis entered the picture. Vanessa clenched her clench hands, her knuckles white against the scenery of her profound brown skin. Alexis had stolen Haven. No—she had enticed him, attracted him away, demolished everything. It wasn’t reasonable. Vanessa paced back and forward in her little, faintly lit flat, her bare feet making delicate crashes against the wooden floor. The sharpness chewed at her.

THE ACCIDENTAL BILLIONAIRE AND THE VENGEFUL MAID

THE ACCIDENTAL BILLIONAIRE AND THE VENGEFUL MAID

Andrew took my virginity when I was vulnerable, so I would stop at nothing to make him pay for it. I slid the card back into my pocket and headed upstairs. Careful not to stain anything with the imaginary dirt on my hands, I wiped my hands on my apron before I pushed the door open. “Goodness! This is pure luxury.” I blurted out at the sight of a heaven-like bedroom. Taking glances around the room gradually filled me with anger. How could Andrew have this type of life handed to him on a gold platter? Remorseless humans like him should be living in destitute and not in luxury. I spun around to face the dresser mirror, raking my right hand through my hair while my left hand rested on the golden
