Oh, absolutely! Velvet Crowe is hands-down one of the most compelling protagonists in the 'Tales of' series. Her journey in 'Tales of Berseria' is raw, emotional, and downright gripping. Unlike traditional heroes, she starts off consumed by vengeance, which makes her arc so refreshing. The way her character evolves—or, in some cases, refuses to—adds layers to the narrative that I haven’t seen in many JRPGs.
What really seals the deal for me is how her relationships with the party members reflect her growth (or lack thereof). Laphicet’s innocence contrasts starkly with her cynicism, and watching those dynamics unfold is half the fun. The game doesn’t shy away from her flaws, which makes her feel incredibly human. By the end, whether you love or hate her, you can’t deny she leaves an impression.
