And in the moment that Brawen disappeared from the room, the light also went out, the thick night covered every corner of the royal palace, a thick layer of dust blew past its thick walls. And the flowers completely withered, leaving only a few grains of sand lying on the treasure pile on the floor. The Crown of Might has left the royal palace of Titania. The space is covered with white snow, beautiful little snowflakes fall from the sky like tiny fairies descending to earth.

The shockwave rolls through the pack: heads snap down as one, throats bared, knees hitting stone in perfect unison. Even the elders bow. The mountain shudders—distant snow avalanches roaring, howls rising in layered harmony that shakes the stars. The Oracle steps back. Her milky eyes glow brighter for one heartbeat. “The moon has spoken. The flame has answered. Rise, Luna of the Northern Dominion.” I release Maureen’s hand only to lift the crown. Obsidian heavy. Rubies like frozen blood. Moonstone heart catching crimson fire. I place it on her head. It settles perfectly.

It was quiet, so quiet if i was to gulp loudly, the whole room would hear it. The elder reached for the spectres on a red cushion placed on a wooden table and handed each of us to hold. "As Alpha Adrian's mate, his Luna, in blood, flesh and air, you will rise as the Queen of Cosmos Kingdom when I place this crown on your head." The elders thick voice announced. With my head bent low, I waited as the elder placed Adrian's crown on his head before reaching for my crown and gently placing it on mine. The crown was heavy, it was made out of pure gold and diamonds. I kept my neck straight, giving support to my head and allowed myself to get accustomed to the heaviness.

The pack roars with laughter and many of the members begin to chant, "Let her sit, let her sit." Victor stands beside my throne and the head elder walks towards him holding my crown on a golden pillow. I gasp when he hands the crown to Victor. The crown is gold filigree with diamonds and emeralds on the tops of each point. Just over Victor's shoulder I can see the Blood Moon shining brightly in the sky. It is almost at its highest point in the night sky. Looking back at Victor I notice that he has already begun his speech. I cringe inwardly hoping that I have not missed anything important.

"I bestow upon you this Queen's Crown, affirming your honor. You are the chosen future queen, destined to wed the prince." Elder William lifted the crown from the tray, an exquisite masterpiece crafted from the purest silver, adorned with the whitest gemstones, and embellished with radiant diamonds and moonstones. At its pinnacle, a moonlit blue sapphire shimmered, encircled by twelve dazzling diamond stars. Silver laurel leaves elegantly entwined the crown's base, reminiscent of waves cradling luminous stars. Such a crown surpasses our mortal craftsmanship; only the Moon Goddess could conceive such celestial beauty.

The Midnight Maw was not a palace of gold and glass like the Zenith Crown, it was a fortress of basalt and bone, carved into the heart of the Obsidian Crags, as Koran led me through the torch-lit corridors, the air grew colder, heavy with the scent of ancient earth and unrefined magic.

The glowing round sun is making the crown on his glitter and his light brown face appears lighter closer to white. "Long live king, Thomas" hails the crowd in the consortium. Sound of whistles, wooden drums, and small ball stones striking in hand, rise in the air to the clear and bright sky. King steps down from the stone ring. The round glowing sun behind his head doesn't leave his company.

The hallway outside was crowded. Servants whispered excitedly, and elders smiled among themselves. The door opened, and the pack healer stepped outside. His face was brighter than I’d ever seen it. “Congratulations, Alpha. The Moon Goddess has blessed the pack. She is carrying your heir.” He announced. For one heartbeat, the entire world became perfectly still. Then cheers erupted around me. The elders clapped each other on the shoulders. Servants laughed through happy tears. Warriors lifted their fists in celebration. “Our future Alpha!”

Every major kingdom had been summoned to the Summit of the Twelve Alphas … the first gathering since my awakening had shaken the world.
