They walked freely, proudly, adorned in robes spun from gold threads and moonlight. Their hair wasn’t simply dyed, it glowed in soft magical shades: lavender, cerulean, pastel pink. Some had flowers growing from their braids, others wore feathers that changed colors with their emotions. They moved through the land in peace, unaffected by the chaos that plagued the outside world. Another voice: “Then why do the roots bleed?” Stares turned on me— Not pity. Not reverence. Doubt. I reached for Kade’s arm. Desperate. He flung me off. Parts of it now had beautiful flowers, and they glowed; there was no need to convince them as the vines continued to weave and form, right in their presence. Crimson dashed to where she had been standing but there was nothing there except for the purple haze that still glowed from the aftermath of the blast.

I blink my eyes and slowly shift back to my human skin, she quickly covers my naked body with a big towel. Aunt Iris has a big coat in her hand that reaches my knees, she helps me wear it and buttons it up. They help me walk towards the pack house, we than move towards the secret room where all the other shewolfs and pups are hiding. I am led to a spare bed, my exhausted body falls on the soft mattress, I sense a shooting pain from my left arm and thats when I notice that I am bleeding.
