The fire moves even closer now and I swear I can hear someone whisper my name and chuckle. "Kyraaaah," the female voice whispers. I try to look around but all I see is fire and smoke. This is not just fire. It is death! "Who are you?! Show yourself!" I demand but the voice changes to a mad scientist's laughter and that scares the shit out of me. "Why are you doing this?" my lower lip trembles when I speak. "Pain demands to be felt, Kyraaah..." the voice replies. I can't hold back my tears anymore and I begin sobbing.

Kael turned me to face him, holding my face tenderly, his forehead almost touching mine. I grinned, unable to tear my gaze away from him, my heart bursting with happiness. "Want to go on a run?" he groaned, his voice thick with emotions. "With you? Always," I answered with a breathy chuckle. Right there and then, Kael shifted into his beast form, letting out a powerful roar that shook the foundations of the cathedral, and the cheers and screams around us grew louder. Letting out a stunned gasp, I stumbled backwards until he urged me to climb on his back.

Older than the gods themselves… Her chest tightened. She dropped the phone onto the blanket and pressed the heels of her palms into her eyes. “Well, that was about as comforting as a Disney villain monologue,” Koa’s voice slid through her mind, dry as ever. “At least he didn’t end the call with thunder and lightning.” Cheyenne gave a humorless laugh. “Might as well have. "Then we are running out of time already. They know you've come of age." A furious, soul-shaking roar tore across the jungle before I could inquire who 'they' were. The earth beneath our feet actually shook. Birds burst from the treeline in a desperate mass, sending my wolf into blind fear right away. Every bit of warmth drained from Kael's face as his head turned toward the sound source. The amused, curious stranger was totally gone; only the deadly tyrant stayed. As a low, rumbling growl vibrated in his chest, his golden eyes narrowed into slits.

Her VOWs were now fulfilled by herself. In her unconsciousness, Arika found herself locked in a warehouse that was surrounded by the deep forest. "I'm scared", Little five-year-old Koohu sobbed and hugged herself. "No! Don't be scared. I'm here", A voice entered into her ears which resembled her voice. "Who are you?", Little koohu asked that voice. "I'm Koohu. I'm You and You are Me", That voice told her. Five years old Koohu was shocked.

The drums faltered. Warriors froze. Torches flickered as if the air itself shuddered. Then— A horn blew in the jungle. A deep, resonant blast unlike any sound Jenna had heard from the tribe before. The villagers gasped. Several dropped to their knees. The warrior holding the cage door whispered hoarsely: “Vor’kai… he returns…” (The Bone King… he returns.) The cage door remained half-open. Jenna’s breath hitched. The tribe wasn’t looking at her anymore.
