The hum of the machine deepened; the bracelet burned briefly, then steadied. The lines on the silver graph sharpened, peaks and valleys finding a pattern that made my teeth ache to look at—too regular, too… intentional. Glass-singing threaded the air, faint but unmistakable now. Voss stiffened at the wall, nose wrinkling as if he smelled ozone. “What is that?” he asked. Valen’s fingers froze over the controls. Her eyes—sharp, hungry, suddenly very awake—were on the screen. “That,” she murmured, almost to herself, “is Lunaris.”

I smiled and waved at her "Val" I turned to see Harry running to me "Hey no need to run.. what's up?" I asked "So how's the exam?" He asked "Good I guess. How about you?" "I think I'll pass this exam" He chuckled and I smiled "You already did your best" "Uhmm Val , are you free at the 24th?" He asked and I shook my head "Sorry I'm in LA that day" I said and he nodded "LA?" "Yeah , me and my family always gather together at Christmas"

Venus gave a nod and said, "I came to say goodbye. It has been a pleasure working with you, host." June stood up and smiled at Venus. "Why don't you call me June?" He said. "Okay, Host June." June just laughed weakly. "I am gonna miss you Venus," He quietly said. The elevator door made a small ding sound and June quickly wiped his face again. Venus turned towards June and bowed to him. "Goodbye, Host June." June smiled at her. "Goodbye, System Venus." June walked out of the elevator and saw the sliver door with a small rectangular dark panel. On the panel was an elegant golden swirls of words which read :

I'm just going to catch up with my friend and have a little fun, you can also have some fun while you're here.” “I still don't get why I can't join you.” Violet sighed, resisting the urge to yell at him to stop being clingy. “Look Lance, I'll be back before you know it so..” Lance threw his arms around Violet, hugging her tightly. “Please come back quickly.” Violet froze. She hugged him back hesitantly. “I love you, Xenia.” Right. He recognized her as Xenia. Violet pulled away from the hug and walked out the door and out of the inn.

“I don’t want to sit down. Not until you tell me why you went behind my back to do whatever it is you did to Brandon, that had him calling me.” Val’s face twists in a deadly scowl. I swallow hard, looking away to avoid the intensity of his gaze. But when my eyes meet Xavier’s, his is even worse. “I know you’re not mad at us right now for helping you.” He says through clenched teeth. “Help? Help?” I stomp towards them, fingers tightened into fists at my sides. “I never asked for your help!” “You did,” Val cuts in, green eyes laced with anger as he stares at me.

I hear a little tap, and then a click, and as the car vibrates, I put together that he put on a CD. Chromatic's Touch Red plays. The familiar piece fills the car, the almost-haunting instrumentals bouncing off the windows and into my ears. "When you can't see, first, you listen." Alex leans over and whispers. I sit, lips parted, taking in the way the vibrations make the hair on my skin stand. "It was the day you pushed past the front doors, trekked up over twenty steps into my office," he spoke. The stereo still plays, and so I lean into his voice as best as I can.

Without another word, they turned toward the garage, their footsteps echoing softly against the tiled floor. Tamara and Chipo appeared at the doorway, their expressions lined with concern. “Where are you two going?” Chipo asked. “Just for a moment,” Amanda replied. “You know what’s been happening. It’s not safe to go anywhere right now,” Tamara warned, her voice steady but anxious. Valen rested a calm hand on the hood of his car, a sleek black Veyra X7. “We’ll be fine,” he assured. Amanda added, “We won’t be long.”

"Black SUVs just turned onto the wharf. They aren't the police." "Start the upload," Adrian rasped from the cot. He struggled to sit up, his hand clutching his side where a tube had been ripped out. "The world needs to see what the Voss blood really is. They need to see the monster my father tried to build." Case hit the final key. A progress bar appeared on the center screen. 0%... 5%... 12%... "It’s going to take ten minutes to bypass the corporate firewalls," Case said. "We have to hold the line until then."

3rd POV. The crimson skies bleed in the form of soft, delicate raindrops. The forest immerses in an anxious breath, scarred by Freya's lingering touch. Jaxson watches Valerie huddle into herself. Her body shivers so intensely that her cells cry for rest. In Jaxson's long lifetime, he stands over her, powerless. He can't understand the situation, or what is happening to his precious mate? Crystals cling to her body. Her once entirely creamy-white complexion paints dark red, almost blue.

Upon having second thoughts, Xander drove off leaving Valeria in the rain. He drove in a higher gear than usual. " ***hole" she cursed violently, rage coursing through his vein at the reminder of his actions. She secretly breathes out. Quickly, Valeria ran to the nearest shelter and dialed the first number she found on the Uber app. However, it could not go through. " Service unavailable, try again tomorrow" she would hear the auto voice remind her every time she dialed the number. As the cold wind brushed past her wet clothes, Val shivered, gritting her teeth. " Evil man. I will surely make you pay ".
