Some mornings still hurt. Some nights she still wondered whether Noah thought about her. But the pain no longer controlled every part of her life. Her phone buzzed. No panic. Only a quiet ache that reminded her some wounds simply needed more time. Tessa noticed. “You okay?” Ava smiled softly. “I will be.”
