Walter Murch Books Novels & Stories

The smells grew strong as my brothers and sisters chanted. “In a Macabre Waltz they twist and twine, Chains of despair in a haunting design. In the silent waltz of the night’s embrace, Whispering doom, each step a chilling trance. In the waltz of echoes, memories splinter, Souls shatter, lost in the void’s sinister winter. In the palace halls, where secrets steep, The eldest princess’ curse, her word to keep”

His eyes gloss over, and I know that he is defying me and mind linking Erebus anyway. “Uh,” Walter says as he tries to navigate the tension building in the room. “I found some of Grace’s books.” He says as he disappears into he and Grace’s old room. He reappears with a stack of books in his arms. “I can’t read the words, but I assume you will be able to.” He places the books on the table beside me.

She said Frowned. "I didn't mean that. I was just asking." He said. "Yes I like to read story books. Especially this book. It is a story about a warrior who lost his master. His senior killed his master to take his master's secret diary. Now the warrior run away with the book to save. This story is just like my story. That's why I like this book." She replied with her head down. The story book was in her hands and her eyes were staring at the book. Her tears fall down on the book.

"Bi Lacho." She lets go of my hand; I feel cold without it. I watch her get up, gradually, then walk to the back door into the house. I have so many questions. So many. I don't understand the purpose of what just happened or how it was supposed to help me after what happened in the dining room. I've never been one to believe in palm reading, even if it is from a wizened Romani woman. I'm quite practical. Too practical, sometimes. Though it seems practically has been an ailment for me lately. Still, I can't help but feel this sense of enlightenment from her. I know I'd be a fool to just let her guidance go unnoticed. **
