My Ex-mate’s father is my fate

My Ex-mate’s father is my fate

I took a step toward them, and the ground beneath my feet turned to ash. "Who, what are you?" Kael stammered, his voice trembling as he backed toward the edge of the cracked stage. I didn't answer. I just bared my teeth, a low, tectonic rumble starting in my throat. The moon turned a dark, bruised purple above us, the light dying as if something were drinking it. I wasn't the rejected mate anymore. I wasn't the disgraced daughter. I was the Shadow. And I was going to swallow them whole.

Moonlit Shadows

Moonlit Shadows

Liora, drawing close to Niamh, reassured, "Remember, these are but manifestations. By understanding and accepting them, we can dissipate their power." Isolde, squaring her shoulders, declared, "Then let's face them. Accept them. And prove that our unity, our shared purpose, is stronger than any doubt or fear." As the guardians began their confrontation, the shadows voiced their insecurities, echoing the guardians' deepest fears and doubts. Yet, with each acknowledgment, with each acceptance, the shadows began to waver, their forms becoming less defined. Elysia, facing her shadow, whispered, "I accept my fears, my uncertainties. They're a part of me. But they don't define me."

Moonlit Shadows

She takes my hand in hers and squeezes it gently. "We are werewolves, not monsters," she says softly. "Our pack is called the Shadows and is led by Gabriel Valley. He became our leader after his father's death some months ago." I sigh and turn to look at her. Her blue eyes look sad as she stares at me. "I promise you my child, you are not a monster. Being different is your greatest power," she whispers, grazing her fingers across my eyebrows. "You'll see," she adds with a faint smile. I stare at her drowning in my thoughts. I think about everything. Me. Them. The pack. I'd have sworn last night was just a dream but I know what I saw and felt. It was all too real. "Your father and I are going

The Moon Shadow

The Moon Shadow

Today was Saturday, and we had enough time to resolve this matter. There he was, standing in the middle of the clearing in his full glory. The morning light filtered through the dense foliage, casting dappled shadows on him, making him seem ethereal. In the semi-darkness, I couldn't make out his expression, and he waved for me to come over.

Probably the most challenging story I have written. With about 5 drafts and two years of crafting, it’s my longest work. It’s thrilling. I revisit it sometimes and, he, even I get overwhelmed and awed. I mean, it feels like I’m not the one who wrote it.

I love the world building of this novel! Even when you’re only in chapter one you can already see how the author meticulously planned the settings of the story. It’s descriptive so even if the world is new and unfamiliar the readers could still easily imagine what it’s like.

Forsaking the Shadows

Forsaking the Shadows

The bathroom was also too small and if I wanted to move to get something, I just had to circle around. I put the wet clothes on the hampers and I moaned in frustration because of the cold. I was about to step out into the room when I noticed the reflection in the mirror hanging on the bathroom wall. There were shadows behind me, trying to grab my back. I took a deep breath to calm my nerve and talked to myself that they were just the product of my hallucination.

Being sold To The Highest Bidder

Being sold To The Highest Bidder

Each turn, each corridor revealed glimpses into their shared histories, but the looming threat to their companion propelled them forward. As they rounded a corner, they came upon a grand chamber, at its center stood Eryx, seemingly paralyzed, surrounded by swirling shadows. Each shadow whispered regrets, doubts, and fears into his ear, trying to drown him in his own despair. Dupree, drawing his blade, declared, "We need to break the hold these shadows have on him!" Lysandra, her voice filled with determination, said, "Together! Our combined energy can dispel these phantoms." With a unified intent, the group channeled their power, casting a radiant beam that pierced the heart of the shadowy v
