As we descended into the subterranean colosseum, the noise became overwhelming. Two thousand warriors filled the stone tiers of the cavern. These were the Shadow Warriors—the battle-scarred outcasts of the Dead Woods. They were alphas, betas, and omegas who had been rejected by their birth packs, criminals who had survived the brutal winter wilderness, and veterans of forgotten border wars. They didn't wear uniforms; they wore heavy furs, iron chains, and leather straps over bodies covered in jagged claw scars. They were savage, and radiated a volatile pressure.

Shadow sliced his palm, adding it to the mixture in the chalice, and his deep voice carried over the entire pack as he recited the Howling Warriors creed. "A Howling warrior is strong when they need to be, gentle when they choose to be, and ruthless when they have to be. We will not cower, nor hide behind each other in times of crisis, we stand tall against our enemies, together we are the Howling Warriors, and together we are strong."

The classification goes like this: 1. Soul warriors. When the mark appeared on their bodies, they became soul warriors. Soul warriors are warriors born to fight and protect their pack and alpha. There are three divisions of soul warriors. The first had their marking located on their left shoulders, gifted with silver claws and bite. They were called Silver Souls. Similar to how silver affects most supernaturals, their claws and bites were deadly. They were strong, really.

* Alpha Archer * I could feel the slight tremble of my land beneath the march of the Southern warriors invading. Even before I saw them crest the ridge, I smelled the scent of their blood, the iron, sweat, and the musk of wolves bred for war, not honor. Alpha Douglas's banner split the horizon like a wound, black and crimson snapping in the wind, his warriors flooding the valley as if they meant to drown the West in numbers alone. In a small room filled with piles of documents, a calm and solemn atmosphere prevailed. Sunlight illuminated every corner of the room. There were only a few people there: me, Wayne, Adam, and Zora. “1 Star to 2 Star Warriors are called Scrubs while 3 Star and 4 Star warriors are referred to as Broilers. Starting from 5 Stars, Beastmen are sorted out a bit differently. 5 Star Beastmen are called High Stars while 6 Stars are referred to as Unique Stars. As for 7 Stars, they are called Crowns.” “I guess they didn’t try to get a proper title for anyone under 5 Star huh. Such terrible naming sense!” Kylie bemoaned the creativity of the Beastmen. They literally referred to their low rank warriors as garbage and chickens. She was not even garbage yet! That was the worst part!

"Osulf." "Osulf." Mory said carefully as she tried to repeat his accent. "What does it mean?" Clasping his hands around her buttocks, Haldir licked his lips and pulled her closer to his hips. "It means the Fate's Warrior." Mory puckered her lips and nodded. "I like it. That will make me the Fate's Death Warrior. That's pretty fucking badass."

He snorted as he watched the warrior raised his sword and sliced open the man behind him with a proper twist of his sword. Mithraos turned back in time to slice open a sword wielder's head. Wars gave him a kind of high that nothing else does. The sound of a conch was heard and all swords were lowered as the sun lowered into the horizon. ----------------- Adharva Malvan raised an eyebrow as he heard of the war in South. "He is stepping out of a line when he touches our ally," said the minister Pahlan. "Indeed," said Adharva as he looked on into the darkness.

I answered shortly, not giving her much to work with. She seemed to pick up on it, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Do you have a code name?" she asked, her curiosity growing. "Umm, yes." Shit. If she asks me what it is, what do I say? I was a lead warrior, but I wasn’t a ranked member. Why the hell did I lie just now? I was confused by my own behavior. "Can I know what it is?" she asked cautiously, her voice soft but eager. "Umm, usually it’s… Delta."
