Alsie Jones is a homicide detective in the human world. Alsie Neferet is a 24-year-old member of the Far-Side Moon Pack. Alsie is a human-wolf hybrid, or so she has been told her entire life. The Far-Side Moon Pack is the largest, most powerful, pack on the West Coast and it is undergoing a leadership transition, with the 24-year-old Sandolf Triplets preparing to become the new Alphas. However, their father, current Alpha, Kordell, will not step down until the triplets find their Luna. Osiris, Evander, and Andrew know who their mate is. When they decide to discuss the matter with their father, they encounter a deity named Wepwawet who gives them a warning: "Keep Alsie safe, or I will bring ruin to your family and pack." The triplets must ensure Alsie's safety, navigate interactions with the Sheriff's Office, investigate a pack member's murder, and locate an ancient artifact on neutral ground, all before their 25th birthday. While also learning that their story and history isn’t entirely accurate. Alsie is destined to become one of the most powerful beings of the Underworld on the planet, if she can stay alive. Alsie and the Sandolf triplets must join forces with other beings of the supernatural, the underworld, and humans alike to accomplish and fulfill the prophecy of King Sekhemkhet and keep centuries old bloodlines alive. On this journey Alsie and the triplets will come across witches, warlocks, vampires, werefoxes, and a species that was thought to be a myth, the werecats descendants and guardians of Ra. All the while Alsie is still holding on to her job in the human world, as a detective. The more she investigates the death of their pack member the closer she gets to the ultimate enemy Fenrir the evil monstrous wolf of Ragnarok.

Ugh… it’s happening again, that damn phone! I feel like I just got to sleep. I reach over to my nightstand and answer it.
“Yes, this is Detective Alsie.”
“We caught another one Als.”
“Sarah, how is this even possible? We weren’t next to catch Floyds and Banks were. Have you been home at all tonight?”
“Floyds and Banks caught a double with robbery as a possible motive. That means we’re next up. Gotta love budget cuts. No, I haven’t been home yet. I know you live about 4 hours away, so I’m going to crash in the bunkroom until you get here.”
“Alright. Let me get showered, grab something to eat quick and I’ll head back in. I should be there in about 4-5 hours.”
“Ok, Als. See you then.” Sarah hangs up. I look at the alarm clock on my nightstand and it reads 2:14am. I guess 3 hours of sleep is better than none. I’m so taking a day off after this.
I stand up, grab some clean undergarments, and walk into my bathroom to shower, brush my teeth, and get ready for another long day. This was one of those times when I thought about living in the human world city. It would make my job so much easier. The commute time alone would be worth it. But truth be told I liked the comfort of the pack.
My name is Alsie, and I am a member of the Far-Side Moon Pack. I am 24 years old. I am a Human-Werewolf Hybrid. My mom Ariel was a human, and my dad William was the Beta of the Far-Side Moon Pack. Both of my parents died by the time I was 11 years old. My mother passed away when I was 9 years old, due to complications with cancer. My father died in battle when I was 11 years old. After my father’s death I lived in the packhouse with Alpha Kordell, Luna Jazmine, and their triplet sons Osiris, Evander, and Andrew.
The triplets were supposed to take over the pack at the age of 18, they didn’t. Alpha Kordell made a proclamation that they couldn’t take over the pack until they met their fated mate. If they didn’t find their fated mate by their 25th birthday, and they could agree to a mate, they could take a contract mate and in turn take over the pack. Their 25th birthday was coming up in 21 days. The she-wolves throwing themselves at the triplets were insane and rather pathetic.
I, along with the triplets will be turning 25. The triplets and I are not that close anymore, even though we lived in the same house for 7 years, we are the same age and went to the same school. When we were younger, we would play together, but because I am a hybrid, I stayed on the small side and I didn’t have full wolf senses, so as I got older, I stayed to myself.
I was looked after, never picked on or bullied, but not treated all that well by the Alpha and Luna. They did their job, I was fed, clothed, housed, and made to go to school. I liked school, so I did well, I got good grades.Once I turned 18, I was allowed to move into one of the warrior cottages, if I got a job. I got my 1st job right after graduation at the Far-Side Diner. It was there that I met Brooklynn. Brooklynn is the one who encouraged me to go to the human police academy, I did. She said I’d be good at it and since I’m part-human I could get by. I passed my courses with flying colors, was placed at the 14th precinct and 3 years later I made detective, homicide division. That’s what I do day in and day out, I solve human murders. I love my job. It’s like a real-life game of Whodunit, or Clue. Sometimes it feels like a tv show. I still can’t believe that I get to do this job, and I get to do it away from the Far-Side Moon Pack. Don’t get me wrong, I love my pack and my home, but I also love the independence my job gives me.
Since I’m half human I didn’t get my wolf on my 18th birthday. I did notice some heightened senses like my hearing, my sense of smell, and my vision were for lack of a better word “better”. When I’m focusing on something, I get mad or irritated, my eyes will get a little darker in color. Sometimes when I’m trying very hard to figure something out, it’s almost as if there is a voice in my head talking me through the issue or problem, helping me along the way. I think since I didn’t get my wolf, that is why I haven’t found my fated mate. It may never be in the cards for me and that’s ok. I have a good life. I have a good job, I make decent money, I have friends both in the pack and in the outside world. I’m fine with how my life is. If this is all the Moon Goddess has in store for me, then that’s ok. It’s not a bad life. It’s, quite the good life.
I get myself showered, dressed, and I go to the kitchen to grab a quick bite of some leftover take-out, make myself an iced coffee, grab my keys, and phone. I put my shoulder holster on and put my badge in my zip-up hoodie pocket. I do a quick look around my place to make sure the lights are off, the milk is put away, and the windows are closed. Everything looks good. I ask myself, “Are you forgetting anything?" YES! I need my notepad. It's upstairs on my nightstand, next to my phone charger. I grab my little spiral notepad and out the door I go.
Right before I close the front door, I turn on my porch light. I know it’ll be daylight soon, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be daylight when I get back. Nobody likes trying to unlock their door, tired after a long day at work, and you can’t see anything. Fumbling for your keys in the dark is the worst. I close the front door and lock it. Then I turn around to go to my car.
“AWWW! Osiris, what the hell? You scared the shit outta me. Why are you here? Why are you standing in the shadows of my front porch? What the hell?”
“You said that already.”
“Ok, what the hell? Saying I said that already isn’t an answer, and that was creepy.”
“Sorry, my fault. You couldn’t sense me at all?”
“No. I’m half-human and don’t have a wolf, you know this.”
“Hey guys.”
“AWWW! WHAT. THE. HELL? Evander, what are you doing here? Andrew are you here too? I can’t take another jump-scare, I think I’ll stroke out. Geez Osiris, you didn’t sense your brothers?” I ask with the words dripping with sarcasm.
“Hey y’all.”
“Can any of you explain this to me? Why are all three of the Sandolf Alpha triplets playing hide and go seek around my cottage at the same time I’m trying to go to work?”
“Umm, I was out taking a walk, couldn’t sleep and I noticed your lights come on. I didn’t think anyone in the pack was awake at this ungodly hour of the morning. Then you walked outside and yelled at me.”
I giggled quietly, “Osiris, I don’t think that was the exact order of it, but ok.”
“I was watching you.”
“Andrew, that’s creepy and it’s called stalking. Pretty sure it’s illegal even here in Far-Side.”
The four of us laughed, for a moment it was like our pup days in the packhouse together. It’s moments like this, when I miss these guys. When it’s just the four of us, it’s easy and care-free.
“Alright you guys, I must get going to work. I’ve got a long drive ahead of me.”
“I’ll walk you to your car.”
“We’ll all walk her to her car, Osiris.” I thought I heard a little bit of possessiveness in Evander’s voice. Weird.
“Hey, my car is 20 feet away in the driveway, as long as you three don’t have any other brothers I don’t know about, I think I’ll be fine. I mean, come on, I carry a gun.”
The four of us proceeded to my car together. They weren’t going to take no for an answer. I clicked my key FOB, unlocked my door, and as I was about to get in the driver’s seat Osiris put his hand on my shoulder. I turned to face him, he pulled me close, and kissed me.
Alsie POV-I woke up the next morning not feeling any better. In fact, I felt worse. I rolled over, got out of bed, went to use the bathroom, splashed some water on my face, brushed my teeth, and told myself to put on my big girl panties.I walked over to my go-bag retrieved my burner phone, turned it on, blocked my number and called Sarah. It rang about four times, I hung up. That was suspicious. Why did she let it ring so many times? I thought about calling back. I needed to talk to Kane. I thought that by calling Sarah from a blocked number I could get her to pass a message to Kane. She was a damn homicide detective; she got calls from blocked numbers all the time. How am I going to reach her? Then it hit me. I love when my brain engages.I picked up the burner phone and dialed an all too familiar number.“Hello Station 14…”“Hey, sorry ma’am didn’t mean to cut you off, this is important, I need to speak with a detective…umm hold on one sec while I find her card…yes, there it is, a
Alsie POV-I stood there shocked. It felt like my feet had turned to bricks. I couldn’t move. I couldn’t speak. Why was Kordell asking if Osiris wanted to reject me? I was speechless. This man who had protected me, looked after me, raised me after the death of my father, was once again trying to get one of his sons to reject me.“I don’t know, dad,” Osiris responded, with his head down, staring at his feet.Evander was staring intently at Osiris. “What do you mean you don’t know if you want to reject her?”“Hold on a minute. If Si, rejects her does that mean she won’t be our mate either?” asked Andrew, with genuine concern in his voice.Kane sighed loudly and turned his head in Andrew’s direction. “Correct, she would no longer be your mate as well. Osiris can reject her. If he decides to reject her, you two will also become collateral damage of the rejection. His rejection of her would in turn be your rejection as well.”I looked from both Andrew and Evander back to Osiris. I wanted t
Alsie POV-“You’re going to keep your job and be Luna?” Andrew asked, all smiles.“Yea, did I stutter?”“No, but you just made me one happy wolf! We didn’t know what you were going to do once you realized you were our mate. The three of us were a little worried about it. Then all this other stuff popped off and… I don’t know, I guess I was hanging on to some type of worry.”“Oh sweetie, I would never deny a fated mate situation. I had always hoped I would have a wolf, and I had a mate. I have always believed in true mates. The fact that mine is you three just makes it better. I’ve always loved you guys. I just thought it was one-sided,” I replied, hoping to ease Andrew’s anxiety.“What day is it?” I asked.Evander laughed as he walked over to me, “I don’t know what day it is, but I know I’m hungry, tired, and happy to hear what you just told Andrew. That eased some of my worries as well.”“Everything else we can figure out another day. Together.” I reassured my beautiful mates.Kane c
Kane POV-“You don’t have another mate! Geez, you horny bitch, four mates aren’t enough?” I asked, exasperated.“I mean a girl can…”“Don’t you dare finish that statement, Little Luna.”“Fine Andrew.”“Can we get to more important stuff? Like, why am I so fast?” asked Andrew.Osiris and Evander just rolled their eyes and shook their heads.“It’s from the vamp, dummy,” stated Evander.“Kinda correct but not entirely. It’s from Lilith's side, the mate bond with me just enhances it,” I corrected Evander.“I think I asked this before, but just in case, I’m going to ask it again. How does this work, the four of us?”“Good question Osiris. It works however we want it to work. Every time we’ve come across this situation over the generations, it always looks different. I’m not a main mate; I don’t get a ‘say’ in how this goes. The only part I must be involved in happens every 28 days. It is for us to decide if that happens together, separately, or a combination of both. I’m bound to her, the
Kane POV-Dante glanced in Rana’s direction and replied, “It was, it is. Fenrir is here gathering artifacts. He’s no longer associates with Tyr since the Gleipnir ordeal and Fenrir lost his paw. We are keeping an eye on him; we have a tracker watching him.”“OK, good to know,” I responded a little hesitantly. I’m not sure if I fully believe what Dante was told.It was time to ask Rana a few questions and tell a few more secrets. “Rana, why did you enslave Beta Jacob?”“He killed my father,” she replied coldly.I gasped in horror. Beta Jacob killed William.“Rana, you’re sure this is what his memory showed you?”“Yes, Kane. Not only did his memory show me the death of my father on the battlefield at his hands, but he also openly admitted it before I marked him. Beta Jacob then proceeded to tell me that he was planning on killing the triplets so he and I could become mates."“You let him live?” I asked in shock.Rana titled her head and gave me that sly smile I knew so well. “Well kinda
Kane POV-“Get the Alpha here urgently, please,” I requested.A few minutes later the former Alpha arrived with a four-man escort.“Kane, Dante,” the Alpha acknowledged as he was brought in.“Hello Kordell, I hear it isn’t Alpha Kordell anymore, is that correct? You abruptly gave up your title and rank?” I asked wanting more information about those events.Kordell sighed, a heavy sigh, “Yes, that is correct. We all knew, and agreed upon, that once she had awakened, giving up the title, rank, and pack was the right thing to do.”I shook my head, “Yes, Kordell, we did agree on that, but we also agreed it would be done at the mating ceremony, AFTER we could verify her binding spell was broken, and AFTER we divulged all the necessary information. Right now, these four are like kindergartners heading off to high school. They’re not prepared.Kordell looked at me and replied, “I understand that. But it appears these four had other plans.”“Please Kordell, come in and have a seat. My apologi
