Novel & Cerita We Can't Keep Meeting Like This

“I’m busy.” “Can we meet another day?” I shook my head even though he couldn’t see me. “I don’t know.” “Serena…” “Whatever it is you want us to discuss, we can do it over the phone.” I knew I was being harsh toward him, but it was for the best right now.

" And I'll miss you too, but you know that we just can't keep meeting twice a week, we've already discussed this and we need to reduce our meeting days to once a week. I don't want anyone from my pride or your pack catching in on us, my father even seems like he's suspicious of me, he knows I'm up to something, something I'm not telling him " "Then you need to be careful ", I chipped in quickly, " even if we have to meet once a week, I see no problem with that as long as you're safe ", I felt my wolf nudging me at the thought of seeing our mate once a week, but I ignored her. I caressed his cheeks as we stared at each other, eyeball to eyeball seeing our reflection in each other's eyes. " It

We keep going, each time sending more pictures until we are fully naked. "So, how long do we give them?" I laugh at her. "No idea, but neither has replied." She nods. "Which means we have permission to keep going because they didn't say stop, or they are in a meeting and biting their tongue." I have a feeling it is the meeting thing. Sitting naked we talk, half an hour passing by. They aren't coming home, screw it.

"Hey, we need to get organized, go out for a bit, and talk about how we'll handle this. That may have gotten her way, but she doesn't know what she's missing out on...Shhh... Don't put yourself down, you're amazing, and she won't even notice that I'm gone," I interrupt, standing up before sitting back down and dropping my head onto the desk. "The problem is that our schedules are different, and we might only be able to see each other on Sundays."

He didn't look amused or anything, which meant that he had definitely not seen my like on his post. “We have gotten our topics now, sir,” I uttered, “Should we submit it to you?” “You two shouldn't have even come here. I forgot to give you my email when you last came. From now on, all our meetings will be virtual.” He replied, and I felt my legs become jelly at the titillating sight of his pinecone sharp jaw. Jett's level of attractiveness never failed to have me stunned. It was then it dawned on me that he'd just spoken about us not having physical meetings anymore.

“The delegation has called for a meeting later tonight, and I don’t think I’ll be able to make it. I’d give the task to Laya, seeing as how she’s the scout general and all, but you know how the delegation feels about bending the rules.” I flexed my jaw and let out a heavy sigh. The delegation’s idea of keeping things simple was that everyone on the board had to show up or be voted out. There was no wiggle room seeing as how the meetings only happened once a month. “To be honest, I don’t have a clue when we’ll be back. Ciara’s trying to get us a flight out of here as soon as possible. But nothing seems to be panning out.” “You know you could probably run and get here on time,” AP said with a

Never. I sat, slid my phone onto the table, and said evenly, “Meeting adjourned.” The room exploded. “Adjourned?” Harris sputtered, his face blotchy with disbelief. “Mr. Carter, we’ve been grinding through this for months…” “We can’t afford to stall again,” Patel cut in. “Lexington and Biogenix are both strengthening their positions. If we don’t close this, we’ll lose the sector entirely…” Their voices overlapped, their arguments flowing through the room. I let it go on for a moment, then lifted my gaze.

“Sir the meeting is about to start.” “Okay let's go now but after the meeting, we need to secure the contract with the Walters.” “You mean the Paris contract?” “Yes,” I said to her. “But I heard they are no longer needing anyone decors service again.” She replied and it broke my heart, I needed to think about another way to see her again, why is everything I have tried so far not working out? I entered the hall for the meeting but my mind was elsewhere throughout my stay at the meeting. The meeting was over and I told Mabel to stay behind, “Sir, do you need me to do some research for you?”

I cleared my throat and leaned forward. "We all have brilliant suggestions, with other people countering them with beautiful points. I wouldn't want us to keep going back and forth with this, cause it is boring and tiring. Yet, I would want us to conclude today. At least, before I leave this meeting. If not, we will have to adjourn the meeting, which I would not be comfortable with.

"I'll register him this week." We finished our coffee in awkward silence. The ease from minutes ago was gone. Replaced by the careful distance we usually maintained. I wanted to say something to bring back the lightness but I didn't know what. Didn't know how to acknowledge that we just had a moment without making it weird. "This was nice" I finally said as we stood to leave. "Meeting in person. We should do it more often." "Maybe" Bella said. She wasn't committing but she wasn't saying no either. "It is easier to discuss things face to face sometimes."
