FATED BY FIRE

FATED BY FIRE

“Fate already did.” Before Lucian could respond, lightning struck a tree behind us, splitting it in two. The world exploded in light and sound. I barely had time to pull Lucian back before the flames caught the ground. Kellan and his men retreated, their shapes vanishing into the storm. Lucian turned to me, eyes burning. “Is it true?” My throat tightened. I couldn’t speak. I wanted to deny it, but the truth was already there between us. “I don’t know what I am anymore,” I whispered.

Shadows of Silk & Steel: A Billionaire's Secret, A Bodyguar

Shadows of Silk & Steel: A Billionaire's Secret, A Bodyguar

“Spread out! Check the perimeter gardens! They didn’t walk through the fire!” Kaine’s men. Flushing the edges. “Run,” Sabatine said. They ran. The next fifteen minutes were a desperate, lung-searing plunge into Geneva’s older quarter. They left the wide, orderly streets of the diplomatic district and dove into a maze of narrow, medieval passages—the vieille ville. Here, the power outage felt ancient, appropriate. The cobblestones were uneven underfoot, slick with a misting rain that had begun to fall. Timber-framed buildings leaned conspiratorially overhead, their overhanging stories blotting out the already clouded sky.

Stained

Stained

he squatted down and caressed Damien's hair but his eyes suddenly flee opened and he grabbed Theo's wrist. "Brother!" he called in a light voice. "Damien?!" Theo exclaimed with widened eyes and the other person immediately fell back into unconsciousness. *~* Luckily they all ran out from the building and Mystique spined in time as the building burst into flames, leaving nothing in its paths and he screamed on top of his voice with Bell as Theo was still in that building, part of that burning fire and suddenly, Mystique fainted and Little Hikaru caught her in time before she landed on the hard ground while Bell suddenly lost her spirit as she sat down and stared unblinkingly at the brightly c

The Bitten and the Born

The Bitten and the Born

“I’ll lead the way.” “Let’s sneak up the passage like we did when we were first married. “Alexandre grabbed a handful of her skirts and the other Bastions hand as she tugged him to the hidden ways. They crept around and played chase after each other like years and years ago. It was so refreshing for such an old soul to have a wife who was vibrant and playful. As Alexandre ran ahead and hid behind furniture and Knight Armor Statues, Bradford paced himself to keep this flirtatious. When they came up the back entrance to the hidden door for Bastions chambers, they hesitated.

The Dons Forbidden Wife

The Dons Forbidden Wife

Serena’s / Martina’s POV “Is he… is it done?” Isabella’s voice reached me before I even reached the bottom of the estate steps. The Ivory Cage burned behind us, the flames climbing higher through the shattered windows and broken balconies. Smoke poured into the night sky as the mansion that had once terrified the entire city slowly collapsed into fire and ash. Dante and I walked down the long marble staircase that led from the terrace to the drive. The night air was thick with smoke and heat, and the glow of the fire turned the entire estate into a flickering battlefield.

The Cliff Jump That Changed Everything

The Cliff Jump That Changed Everything

Third-Person POV: Sophie's voice continued on the other end. "The fire was massive that day. By the time the firefighters put it out, the whole place was rubble. It's such a shame. Beckett was so young and died in that fire. At least you managed to save Mr. Miller..." The rest of Sophie's words turned into a buzzing noise in Vanessa's ears. The moment she heard that Beckett never made it out of the fire, she froze. Beckett was not rescued? He was dead?

The Art of Jessica Jane

The Art of Jessica Jane

The fire was never about the building. It was about Henri. It was about punishment. It was about revenge. The gallery had simply been the easiest way to hurt him. As evening settled over Paris, Jessica found Henri standing beside the rescued oak tree painting. The canvas had suffered smoke damage. The frame was scorched. Yet the tree remained. Strong. Unbroken. Defiant. Much like the man standing beside it. For several moments neither spoke. Then Henri smiled faintly. "He chose the wrong target." Jessica looked at him.

The Heiress in Glass

The Heiress in Glass

Daniel brushed his thumb lightly across her cheek. “But tonight,” he said softly, “you survived.” Her voice dropped. “So did she.” Daniel’s jaw tightened. “Maybe.” Vivienne studied his face. “You don’t believe she died in that fire.” “No.” “Why?” Daniel exhaled slowly. “Because people like Margaux don’t disappear that easily.” Marcus raised his coffee cup from the couch. “Agreed.” Vivienne walked slowly toward the windows. The city stretched endlessly beyond the glass. So many lights.

Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate

Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate

It was an attack on the city itself, with one very important piece of collateral. Frederic didn’t want anyone to get hurt per se, but he also wouldn’t be terribly bothered if the fire spread into the residential neighborhoods around the park. After all, the more destruction, the worse the scandal. This plan would work where all the others had failed, because unlike the flooded equinox festival or disastrous clash with the Geminis at Gabriel’s funeral, Bastien wouldn’t be here to clean up the mess. He couldn’t sell his act as the grieving son, stoic leader or grieving widower.

I actually read, "My Professor is my Alpha Mate" first a few months ago and loved it and just finally got around to reading/finishing this. Despite knowing certian "oberall" outcomes from the sequel, I was still so captivated I couldn't put it down. I love it and definitely reccomend!!

I wouldn't normally spoil but the Chapter-Arabella finds a phone: now Arabella has both of them!! This is the normal now from the chapter where Bastien arrives in Tartarus! Chapter after chapter of ridiculous nonsense especially after Selene gets her powers!! Don't waste your time and money skip it!
