She gave it a small jingle, giggling like a child when the sound rang throughout the room, Holly chuckled despite shruggling with a long piece of tinsel. Sapphire watched in amusement as Holly tried to untangle herself from what was actually three lengths of tinsel. Holly yelped when she tripped and ended up in a heap on the floor, grumbling as she untangled herself. Sapphire burst out laughing right as the cousins came in, both with their coats scrunched up in their arms. "A little help?" Lydia asked, confused while watching Sapphire help Holly out of a mess of pink tinsel on the floor. Holly kicked the tinsel away and glared half-heartedly at her still laughing sister.

[Adam’s POV] The ballroom was a sensory assault. Crystal chandeliers dripped light onto a sea of tuxedos and evening gowns, the air thick with the scent of expensive perfume, champagne, and the faint, metallic tang of greed. It was the charity gala of the year, a playground for the wealthy to pat themselves on the back for writing checks that were merely rounding errors in their bank accounts. I stood at the edge of the room, leaning against the polished mahogany of the bar. In my hand, a tumbler of Scotch sat untouched, the amber liquid swirling lazily with ice cubes that were slowly melting.

It wasn't like the zipper would listen to me anyway. "Everything alright in there?" I could hear it. He was amused and slightly intrigued. It would take this, to get his attention. "Perfectly fine," I snapped and groaned when another failed tug left me with a skirt still intact. This was my karma for touching my butt. Now my skirt was attached to my bottom and didn't want to get off me. Suddenly the blinds tugged aside and a huge frame fits himself in the small little dressing room. I jerked away, staring at Kade through the mirror's reflection. He was really tall.

Candy canes peeked out from between the needles, and a silver star crowned the very top. She smiled, hands on her hips, admiring the job they've just done. “This is so beautiful,” Melody said softly. Tara, who was kneeling on the rug with a box of ornaments beside her, scoffed lightly as she reached for another bauble. “I know, right? But honestly, I feel like it’s a little bit too much. There’s just… a lot going on.” Melody laughed, the sound light and musical, and dropped down beside her on the floor. “Girl, it’s Christmas. Nothing is too much this time of the year. Please.”

I had mastered the art and craft of failing in everything I do. I walked into the library, my body soaked head to toe, water dripping all over the floors of the library, my brown hair looking wet and not organized, I could see him sitting in a corner. When Lucas had described him, he had done him a great injustice, he was way better looking than the mental picture I had of him, he had all black hair, a tattoo-covered body, he wore black short sleeves with black jeans and black boots. He looked like the human version of a perfectly cut handsome robot, his brows were properly arched and his eyes were coffee brown, his hair was curly and his shoulder was broad, as he stood up and approached me,

I park my car in the parking lot and make my way to the entrance of my usual club. All the way through, my car was filled with the brightness of my smile, something that I am wearing even now. “Uuuuh, the one and only tiger has arrived. I am willing to drain my card with the bills as long as we spend a night together. The hotel room charges will be on me too, baby.” The blonde stops me, and unlike other days, her dirty seduction does not entice me or conjure a smile from me. It actually robbed me of the one I was wearing for the better part of today.

His bottom lip trembled, even as he gripped the blanket draped over his fragile body tightly. Elena stepped closer to Thomas with a sad smile. “I do, sweetheart. But, I can’t stay with you.” She frowned, bending over to see him eye to eye. “Tell you what, once you come back to school, I’ll give you VIP treatment.” She sheepishly smiled, as she extended a hand to him.

Dorian reached beneath her veil and whispered, “I vow to follow your darkness.” Then kissed her slow, possessive, bruising and when they turned toward the altar crowd again, their joined hands gleamed not with rings but with matching tattoos inked over their fingers: “Veritas.” Truth. As applause rose, the chandelier above them flickered once. Then shattered. Glass shards rained over the crowd. And a scream tore the air from the back of the hall. The chandelier crash was deafening. Shards pinged against marble. A woman screamed again this time closer. Then chaos bloomed: guests scattering, masks dropped, security surged forward in black suits with glowing earpieces.

they replied, their excitement almost infectious. Entering Tiffany's felt like stepping into a shimmering dreamscape, an enchanting realm where every detail sparkled with a magical allure. The moment I crossed the threshold, I was enveloped in the delightful fragrance of aromatic candles, their flickering flames casting a warm, inviting glow that wrapped around me like a gentle embrace. Each display boasted an impressive array of exquisite lingerie, delicately arranged to beckon me closer and explore their wonders.
