Wedding Vanessa Simmons Married Novels & Stories

My future wife. We managed to stretch those days into eternity, but reality couldn’t wait forever. Flights were booked, and by the end of the week, we were boarding the jet home. The goodbye was bittersweet. Vanessa hugged Mandi tight, her voice promising a thousand more memories to come and to return days before the main wedding. Her eyes became wet as she kissed Bella and the children. When the cabin door closed and the engines hummed to life, Vanessa curled up against me in the leather seat, her red hair spilling across my shoulder. “Do you realize,” she whispered, “in a little over three weeks, I’m going to be your wife?”

“She’s been stalking my friend! She keeps showing up wherever we go!” Rebecca remained amused by their accusations. “Hmm…” She glanced at Vanessa and Catherine. “And what exactly are you two doing here?” Vanessa hesitated for a moment before responding, “Me? I… I’m getting married, Ms. Dawson. My fiancé and I chose this hotel and restaurant for our wedding reception, and I came here for the food tasting.” Rebecca feigned surprise. “Oh? You’re getting married?” “Yes, Ms. Dawson. I believe my fiancé already spoke with your staff about it,” Vanessa replied confidently.

I opened one. There I was — my face flushed, tears streaming, standing in front of the ballroom entrance, mouth half‑open, taking a step back from Ethan and Vanessa. Behind me, the massive marquee: Emerson Grand Ballroom — Wedding Rehearsal. The caption below read: “She found out live. The bride who lost her groom today.” Another post: “#VanessaWins #ScarlettOut” with a video clip: me, voice trembling, “What do you mean, marrying her? You promised—” My words cut off. The video ended with Ethan’s blank stare and Vanessa’s small, cold laugh.

—and she answered them as best she could, still dizzy from the whirlwind of the past week. Vanessa tried to keep her composure, but her cheeks flushed. “Surprise,” she said, lifting her hand so the diamond caught the light. The room went silent for a heartbeat, and then erupted in a chorus of squeals and congratulations. Vanessa always imagined her wedding would be a lavish affair—her mother dabbing tears, a string quartet, the whole family swirling around her in a haze of love and champagne. Instead, she and Marcus exchanged vows on a lovely beach, with only a grinning preacher and his wife and the wind as witnesses. The moment was theirs alone, impulsive and electric. But now, reality was

Or maybe it was because she had the habit of threatening them. The moment Vanessa was about to speak again, her phone rang. She saw that the caller was Finn, so she answered the call. “Finn, I'll be able to come today by 10…” She couldn't finish talking and Finn interrupted her. “Vanessa, hang up the call and check the recent news. Nicholas and Alexa’s marriage ceremony is currently being aired live. I can't believe those two are seriously and really getting married. Well, it suits them. I have a question, though. When two scumbags get married, what would be the outcome? Anyway, I can't wait to see the outcome. Bye”. Finn waited for Vanessa to hang up the call.

In the video, Mara clung to Callum's arm as they walked the aisle together, standing before the officiant and exchanging vows as if they were the true couple. Her caption was simple. 'Close enough. I married you after all.' I did not reply to Callum. Instead, I handed the old phone to Evan. "This should be thrown away, too. Will you help me get rid of it?" That phone would be returned to the fake me. As the plane soared upward, Evan reached for my hand and nodded toward the window. Outside, the sun climbed above the clouds, bathing my face in a wash of warm orange light. He smiled at me. "Congratulations, Ms. Wren. You are free now. This is where your new life begins."

The hashtag #VesperaWedding was trending higher than the national election. @NeoVeridiaNews: Sources confirm that Cyprian Hale has imported 50,000 white orchids from Singapore for the ceremony. The entire floral market is sold out. @GossipGirl: Do you remember her first wedding to Thorne? The one in the backyard with the plastic chairs? Talk about a glow up. @FinanceBro: Vane Strategy stock is up another 12% on the wedding news. She’s monetizing her own romance. Genius. Inside the Penthouse Suite of the Fortress, Vespera stood on a pedestal in front of a tri-fold mirror.

Vanessa asked worriedly. “I was going to propose Charlotte today, but that damned Darren ruined my plan!” Simon replied, laughing at himself. Though he knew that Charlotte still had to feel for that bastard, he was still devastated when he saw them together. “Simon, you are hammered. I’m cutting you off.” Vanessa remarked, visibly concerned She then tried to take the liquor away from him, but Simon dodged and bent over the counter in pain. All he wanted to do right now was to hide the vulnerability and sadness in his eyes.

Austin asked while he dragged the chair out and let Vanessa sit comfortably. She just shook her head and he nodded. Eyeing him, she noticed he was a little anxious? "Okay. Wow. When was Austin ever nervous?" She pondered but couldn't quite make out. That was when Austin opened his mouth, catching her off guard, "let's get married, Vanessa." "What?" Vanessa asked unsure she heard him correctly, but his expression said it all, and she remained frozen.

“Yeah… I got an invitation in the mail today.” There was a delay on the other end. “The wedding invite?” “Yeah. Alexis and Matthew are getting married in three months.” Vanessa breathed out. “I see.” She stopped once more, before delicately asking, “Are you okay?” Haven ran a hand over his face. “I don’t know, Vanessa. I thought I was getting way better, you know? I thought I could handle it, but seeing that invite… It hit me all over once more. I don't know if I need to go.”
