"Welcome to my humble abode." I was brought out of my reverie by Liam's voice, and looking up at him, I saw the huge smirk plastered on his face. "Humble abode? Liam, this is more than just humble." I gestured to our surroundings and marveled at how gorgeous everything looked. And, the more I looked around, the more I started doubting my presence here. What would his parents think? Would they judge me because I'm still at school and call me a goal digger? Probably they'll think I captured their son and is using him because of their wealth. The last thing I needed was to be in such a predicament. "I'm scared I might break something."

"Where you going, sweetheart" Turning around I face his grinning face "I don't know" "Well there's a hotel you can go to" a wide grin on his face 15 minutes later "You have to be shitting me," I say rolling my eyes "Hey there are creeps out there and this humble hotel is safe," he says still grinning "Humble for fuck sake it's a palace," I say looking at him with shock on my face. This place is beautiful and this man said 'humble' aggh rich people.

I blew a half breath and mustered a nervous smile with a nod. He came from his door towards my side and opened the door for me. “Welcome to your new home.” My chest sank, and my heart painted in pain. What am I supposed to say or do? Is this my new home? How could it be when the owner of this house didn’t want to see me?

“And… you’re always welcome to come to my home, too. I meant what I said about you always having a place there.” She smiles, a genuine but hesitant expression. “I wouldn’t want to impose. You have enough on your plate.” I chuckle. “Imposing? Abby, you’d never be an imposition. My home will always be open to you. It was our home once, too.” “Well, then… maybe I’ll take you up on that offer sometime,” she says, her eyes twinkling as she gazes up at me. “Who knows? Maybe I’ll surprise you with another visit soon.”

We are more free now than before. “Let’s go now to my humble abode,” he said. “Humble abode sounds better. I think I’ll like it better than I liked your guesthouse,” I said. “So, you really don’t want to live with a billionaire?” he asked. “I’m a regular girl. It’s overwhelming to live with a billionaire,” I said. “Then, I won’t strive to become a billionaire again,” he said. “You could become a billionaire again and I will still want to live with you,” I said.

I took a lot of pride in my house, and I had good reason to. She must have caught herself staring. She looked back at me and made eye contact with me for the second time this evening. Her cheeks turned pink immediately. I resisted the urge to laugh. I led the way inside and I could feel her eyes at the back of my head. I opened the door and, after giving her a whole minute to soak it in, I said, "Welcome to my humble abode." I grinned. "Well, our humble abode, now that we're married."

the girl says, pulling me down on one of the couches. The man and woman come in shortly after. The man says, “Welcome to our humble abode. It’s not much, but it’s what we have to offer. I hope it isn’t too much of an eyesore.” My head shakes in denial, and I say, “Of course not. It’s lovely. And I am honored to be invited into your home.”

The scent of cigars and mint drifted across my cheek as his voice brushed my ear. "Welcome to my estate," he whispered like the devil himself. "Your new home." I mentally translated it: Welcome to my paradise. Your personal hell.

It is a cute house. This house has personality, unlike that mausoleum that she has been forced to live in for the entirety of her life. That over sized house is a shrine to her father. A way to show off his wealth, in order for him to feel validated. He is a pompous ass who likes to feel superior to others and that shows in the look of his home. This house is the exact opposite. The hous is so warm and inviting.. it truly feels like a home. “Oh, sorry. Uh, my name is Abigail.”
