She hit the ground hard again, the impact forcing the air out of her. Wendy tried to use that moment to get up fully, but her body gave out halfway. I turned to her and closed the distance in two steps. She raised her hand weakly, trying to block, but it didn't stop me. I grabbed her wrist and twisted it just enough to break her balance again. She dropped back down with a strained cry. I released her and stepped back once more. They were both on the ground now. Breathing hard. Bleeding. Still trying.

Wendy used to be a proud woman, and now, she ended her life in a tragically dramatic way. …

At this moment, the door to the dark room was opened, and footsteps approached her. When Wendy felt someone's presence, she struggled incessantly and whimpered, seemingly pleading for mercy. Grace stood there, looking down at Wendy coldly. Finally, she said, "It's me, Grace." As her voice sounded, Wendy's movements abruptly stopped. She looked toward Grace's direction, but she couldn't see anything. Grace reached out to remove the black cloth. Suddenly, fear filled Wendy's eyes, and her body trembled. Fiona I kept pleading to my wolf halfway to a devastating fall but she didn’t listen to me and I couldn’t shift.
