The rogue wolf starts to froth from his mouth and whimper as if he were a wounded animal. "What's happening?" Ophelia exclaims next to me and clutching my already healing hand, I shake my head. "I don't know! But it’s nothing good!" The wolf starts to change form. His skeleton elongates, and its fur and tail starts to recede. His legs become longer and paler. His snout contracts, snapping back into place as a low growl comes from his throat, gradually transforming into a masculine, pure human cry. Ophelia and I watch with saucer-wide eyes as the rogue wolf turns back into a human.

"Now, I'm giving you your punishment." I came down on her as I had done over a decade ago, teeth sinking into her neck, as she whimpered beneath me.
