“Prey for what?” He hesitated. “Werewolves.” I stared at him, my mind reeling. “Werewolves? You can’t be serious.” “I wish I wasn’t,” he said, his tone dark and unflinching. “The wolves that are after you aren’t ordinary. They’re part of a pack—a rogue pack. And they’ve been hunting people like you for years.” “People like me?” I echoed, feeling like I was falling deeper and deeper into a nightmare. “What do you mean, people like me? I’m just—”

Just a room full of disbelief. “Werewolves aren’t what you think,” I said softly. “We don’t hunt people. We’re not cursed. We’re born like this, from generations before us. We live in packs, like families. We protect each other, and we protect the humans around us. That’s our law. The true law of the pack.” Grandma Rose’s lips parted slightly. “You expect me to believe that?” “No,” I said honestly. “I don’t expect anything from you. But I want you to know the truth.”

We were all monsters now. Adam had been the first to embrace what we were-werewolves, creatures bound by the moon. He'd called it a blessing, a gift from the Moon Goddess Selene. Our grandmother had sacrificed herself to protect us, invoking the ancient powers of our ancestors. But for all her intentions, the result was something that couldn't be undone.

I was even starting to save up some money and genuinely thinking I would never be poor again. But of course, that good streak didn't last long. Just six months. Then, just a month ago, the world as we knew it ceased to exist. Werewolves. Werewolves exist and they are here... and all over the world. Apparently, they look like normal people most of the time but they, -somehow, in ways I don't understand- are able to transform their normal human body into a real fucking wolf. And not just under the moonlight, but all the time. Whenever they feel like it.

"Not only will I wash you, but I'll make you pretty little clothes. Dress up our little Lia." Lia looked at me, puzzled. "Why dress me up?" "Because our Lia is the most beautiful and lovely little wolf cub, of course?" I answered gently. "But... when I was alive, people called me a monster. And that vampire... he's a monster too. His wolf could swallow a whole werewolf in one bite."

"Yeah, they were on the lane near Grandma's house. Thank God Red happened by just then - he saved my life." Braiden's eyes crackled with Hellfire. "Thank God indeed. Alright, you heard them, let's head out!" All the male werewolves started up a brazen howl and transformed, one by one, into the true Wolves that they were on the inside. Female werewolves couldn't transform at will, only at the full moon or if we consumed a good amount of wolfsbane, forcing us to change, which was an extremely painful experience. So the women usually stayed back at camp while the men went hunting.

“So, where do we begin?” Jake replied, “At the very start—let’s talk about what werewolves really are and how our community works.” He pulled up an extra chair, turning this into a serious conversation that felt like it could change everything. “First off,” Luna began, “werewolves aren’t magical or supernatural. We’re actually a branch of evolution that split from humans about fifty thousand years ago, so think of us as different but related to Homo sapiens, not as humans cursed to transform into wolves.”

She finished the sentence with a sigh. "Well you should be careful around them, they are rogues. Rogues are the exiled werewolves, they committed crimes, kicked out their pack because of abuse or they were born with rogues parents." He shrugged and tugged her arm to bring her close to his chest, she hugged him close and tightly wrapped her arms around his neck.

Andrews. I put my glasses on to look closer. I ask them; "Okay. We already know that have ever was in that tomb, killed a lot of people." "Not that part, Dr. Andrews. This section over here."
