Hale stopped them. “This is just your first match, you’ve still got four more matches left, with two extremely tough guys on the field. Don’t get full of yourselves.” She said. She slightly spoilt the mood of the enjoyment, but that still didn’t spoil the event too much. Mrs. Hale continued with her explanation. “Your next match is in two days time, and you’ll be playing with St. Peter’s High. In the mean time, you guys are gonna go through rigorous training.” She said, finally destroying the mood.

ALFRED POV The study was quiet after the whole chaos of the feast. Marcus lounged on the sofa, while Andre, my ever reliable beta, stood beside the map table, reviewing tomorrow’s schedule. “The first matches begin at dawn,” Andre said and adjusted his glasses. “Alpha Kael has requested to open the tournament with a demonstration bout.” “Let him,” I replied and leaned back in my chair. “It keeps him happy and shows the others that we have nothing to prove.”

The locker room immediately erupted into applause. Tim clapped harder than anyone else. During warm-ups, fans in the southwest corner of the stadium had already raised banners. One read. "Christian, Get Out of the National Team!" Another said. "No cowards in Team Libertas!" Soon, people started chanting insults at me through megaphones. The whole stadium echoed with their voices. At eight that evening, the match officially began. In the second minute, center forward Ricardo Cameron received a long pass near midfield. He remembered the tactical instructions perfectly.

“You did me proud, girl. Congratulations, Angie, you were ranked 3rd.” “That’s awesome!” Stuart cheered. “We knew you were smart!” Scott nodded. “Brian, you were ranked 20th. Mariah, you were 15th. Congratulations! At 3pm we will start the tournament. Please meet at the training yard at that time. The matches will be randomized, and you will not know who your opponent is until the match begins. Also, you will not be able to watch the other matches, as that will cause you to have an unfair advantage.”

, Dae said. "Oh..why?" "They need to do a lot of arrangements for the match.", Aroon answered. "Oh..uhm..let me see whether I can come to see the match, day after tomorrow. Match in afternoon, right ? Football or basketball, which is first?" "Mine is first. At 2:30 pm.", Dae said "Oh..okay. I will try to come. Okay then, Goodnight boys. Go sleep well.", Kobsook said and stood up from his chair.

The young priest we met two years ago chanted a spell. After the ceremony, the arena had a translucent protective layer. Sunlight couldn’t penetrate through it. For the second time, he repeated the process. The sudden chilly air tingled my skin. Why didn’t he do this earlier? When will the match start? The poster stated it would be at three in the afternoon. The time was four minutes past three, but I haven’t seen their shadows. “And now, for the biggest match of the century! We introduce you to the prominent men of the continent! For the first round, we have...”

" When it comes to motivation, Helder was indeed a genius. He had had tough matches many times in his previous life. Fate was slowly weaving its nets ... The team of 8 people went to the field. U-12 matches were played 8 to 8, and each team had 4 substitutes. In other words, there could be a maximum of 12 players in a team. Each team had 3 substitutions. Also, the fields were divided in half and the matches was playing this way. Everything was ready now. And the referee blew the whistle of the match ...

"The M-A-T-C-H is over?" Oh...he went into shock. "That was not so fun" He spoke disappointed. -------- Soon, the second round. The semifinals started and all the Vampires standing got qualified for it. "For the second round. There should not be any use of weapons. A bare-hand fight. An arm wrestling match takes place" He is again screaming. He is thinking that Vampires will lose if it is Arm wrestling. "These are the teams"

“When the time comes, there won’t be referees to stop you. No medics standing by. No rules. You’ll have your chance to experience real combat soon enough.” The boy fell silent, lowering his gaze. Another girl spoke up. “How are the matches structured? Are we allowed to shift?” “You’ll start in a group fight—twenty-five against twenty-five. Then we narrow it down to five, then three, and finally a one-on-one match between the last two standing. Shifting is allowed, but as I said, no serious injuries. If anyone steps out of line, they’re immediately disqualified.” My pulse quickened. Twenty-five against twenty-five? This was going to be chaos.

ask Machiv to Hila, "if I can, I can help. otherwise, we'll have to go into town do get it done." "Just the edges," says Hila, holding up the edge of one of her hair strands, "maybe four inches at mos. Of red and blue melting into one another, but not tracing back up too much." "I can probably do that," says Machiv. "I'll book an appointment at your dorm before the match," says Hila. "Right on that." "Is there a time that any of the spectating students need to be somewhere?" I ask Lu. "I think there's a bus pulling out of here at right. The match is supposed to be around ten. So it you're up and about by seven-thirty, there'll be buses to take us over. The team is leaving around that time an
