I told Gabriel through mind-link. “I can feel that too. Stay calm and let the conversation go on. Don’t pay attention to him.” He instructed me in a serious tone. “When is your match?” I asked her to let the conversation go on. “I will be third. Brian is first.” She told me calmly. “And what time will they start the matches? It will be dark soon.” I asked her again while looking towards the sky. “It’s 3 already. By the time they finish the opening ceremony, it will be 5. They have floodlights all around the stadium, but it’s hard to say if we will be able to compete or not.” She replied to me with a serious expression on her face.

And before 6:40 every selected player was around already. "As you all know, the match starts by 8 AM this morning and I guess all of you are all prepared," A Junior Coach said. "If you are prepared, let me hear you say yea '' He said and everybody echoed it. The second Coach went ahead and selected the people playing in the first half and second and shocking I was not in the plan. Noah looked at me and laughed, I guess he has not been chance enough to mock me since the Coach is still talking.

Although he didn't know why the queen's plan had changed and now required him to compete, he chose to trust her. However, he couldn't help but regret quarreling with Cameron the previous day. Lost in thought, Caleb glanced at his injured right arm… The match was set to take place in the open space outside the banquet hall. Everyone moved to the viewing area, standing at a higher vantage point. The matches would occur on the stage, twenty feet away from the spectators. Those with poor eyesight could only see the general flow of the fight. The sound of gongs and drums filled the air as the first match began. Ursa and Mike wore tiger and deer masks, respectively.

Their focus hadn't waned, but it functioned differently now—like a tendon long under tension, finally able to relax. Lennox sat on the right, Sloane in the middle, Marcus across from them. The man was still wearing his coat, but the folders on the table and the note slipped between his napkin said clearly: this wasn't just dinner either. "They'll let us into the arena at 7 a.m.," Marcus began, pouring himself soda. "Lennox, warm-up at 08:20, technical walk-through at 09:00, then rest. Your match is scheduled in the first block, 11:15. The exact order might come overnight, but it won't shift much."

I raised my eyebrows at Elias even though I totally enjoyed seeing Adrian humbled. “Then you should have stopped him from talking.” Elias rolled his eyes. The host stepped onto the platform at midfield with microphone in hand. All the shouting died down as he began to speak. “Welcome to the Second Semester Opening Match!” his amplified voice boomed across the arena. “Today, six teams will compete in three matches. The first two matches will be a three-way match, and the winners of each round will go against each other in the finals.” The crowd cheered, and then he continued, “No shifting or intentionally hurting each other, just do whatever it takes to get the ball in your opponent's nets. I didn't bother joining in since, with all the loud screaming from the girls who liked him, he wouldn't hear my voice anyway. We got our partners, and I smiled at the girl in front of me, who was holding the number 29. It's just two hits per match, so it'll be quick. After this elimination round, there's another one where the winners will keep fighting until only two are left for the finals.

was still ringing in their brains. "Good money doesn't come just like that, right? What are the terms and conditions?" Crystal cleared her throat. She didn't want him to see how excited she was. "Krm!! The match begins in two days. And this match is between the people who sign up and the junior intakes of our clan. If you join in, you get to compete with them. Thereafter, you'll have a match with the senior intake. If you can withstand ten hits, you'll be recruited and become an official member.

Charlie nodded with a smile and replied, “Do your best later. I am confident that you will progress from the group and advance into the last eight!” Aurora smiled shyly, feeling as sweet as honey. There was nothing that could make her happier and more excited than having her beloved man watch her game. She felt, at that moment, that she was the luckiest woman in the world. Then, the referee stepped forward. Since it was a preliminary match and there were players from seven other groups competing at the same time, the referee didn’t waste much time. He came up and quickly said, “Both sides get ready, the match will begin in thirty seconds!”

Focus, Ashley! The match's monitor has already begun to load. And now I'm anxiously anticipating to start. Welcome to summoners rift. -=-=-=-=-=-end of chapter 4 -=-=-=-=-=-

"Oh please, just wake up from your sleepy dream. You know what? We got a rematch date!" "For what exactly?" Yawning and rubbing her eyes off of sleepiness, she asks Alex. "Girl, it's the championship match that you and Zayn stopped because of the casualty. We're gonna play on Feb 20th next year!" Cheering for himself, he hugs the short girl as she tiredly pats his back to show encouragement. "Good. Now let's hope nothing happened this time." "Yup. May that soul rest in peace though." Saying, he walks to the last room of the house to inform the same, with the same kind of enthusiasm.
