What Happened To Loulan Apothecary Diaries Novels & Stories

“Marrow’s clinic’s on shut down, but there might be records. We move now.” __ The periphery of Lovtan looked as drear as it ever had, the clinic a crumbling shell, peeling paint and broken windows, worn sign just legible: Marrow Medical, Est. 1990. The atmosphere was dreadful, the hallways creepy, shadows dancing around us under the beams of our flashlights. We fanned out and searched the area well. While I emptied a rusty cabinet of nothing but mildewy invoices, Elaine searched a locked office and picked the lock with a hairpin.

This harsh environment had become the playground of drug cartels, where illicit trade thrived under the watchful eyes of corrupt officials and desperate souls seeking fortune. Deep within the labyrinthine streets of Harmony City to Lagoon City and others, cities swallowed by the sweeping sands of the Sahara, a network of criminals plotted their next move. Omar Al Badar, a renowned drug lord, ruled this treacherous realm with an iron fist. His empire revolved around the two newly established trade routes that would make him unimaginably wealthy.

He was surprised at what he had done. Harvey bandaged Louis thoroughly, Phoebe's claws scraped two long streaks right in front of his chest, in addition to many other wounds. Just now, Phoebe was the same as a lunatic Vampire she couldn't keep her composure and patience as before, no matter how dangerous the person in front of her still rushed to attack. "Did you come here to talk about something?" Harvey now remembered something important to tell Louis. “I was looking for old books from the warehouse. Maybe someone stored it there before the Foundation base was built here.”

The air tasted stale. Finally throug‍h a heavy door‍ in‌to a v‍ault. Books everywh‌er‍e. Sh‌elves floor to ceiling. Papers stacked in co‍rners. The smell made my nose‍ itch. “Pack archives,” Miriam said. “Two hundred years of history. What do‌ yo‍u need?” ‍“The original Luna. Any‍thing‍ she wrote. Journals. Let‌ters. Anything.”

With trembling hands, I approached it, my fingers brushing against the rough wood. With a creak, I lifted the lid, revealing a treasure trove of forgotten memories. Among the yellowed pages and faded photographs, my gaze landed on a leather-bound diary. It was weathered with time, its once vibrant cover now worn and aged. I knew instinctively that this diary held the answers we had been searching for.

I kept documents that detailed our pack's business dealings, records of our hunting grounds, and, most importantly, evidence that hinted at the dangerous undercurrents in our community—the illegal substances flooding our territory and the shadowy organizations trafficking them. I locked the door and drew the curtains, plunging the room into a cocoon of dark secrecy. The faint glow from my desk lamp illuminated the strange, slightly burnt diary I had found among the debris of the previous owner's possessions in that secret chamber. Its leather cover was charred at the edges, and the pages were brittle and yellowed. I had never seen writing like it before; the characters twisted and curled in

She doubted he would be able to locate her this time. Louella wore a black sheath dress and a light brown coat; she paired it with low and comfortable strappy sandals. She put on stud earrings and left her waist-length hair to fall. She stepped out of her room with her travelling bag and went to Jack's room. He was fully dressed and was playing on the carpet with some toys. Rose was in the room with him when she saw her. She took Jack's travelling bag from the room and left. It was five am in the morning. She had successfully taken care of everything last night and could not fall asleep, which resulted in her tossing and turning on the bed all night. She was sure she had eye bags.

“You remember the diary that you lost?” Luyando was visibly horrified. That diary. She had wondered when it was going to appear and bite her in the ass. It appeared the time had finally come. Why had she written in that dame thing? “Are you talking about the diary that Dr Lucas gave her?” His wife asked. “The one that was lost during our move from Kitwe to Lusaka?” “Yes that same one,” he answered.

I let out a slow breath and placed the heavy, soot-stained ledger into his palm. Kai Feng turned the book over. The edges were badly singed, the smell of burnt glue and old paper rising from the binding. He flipped it open to the center pages, his sharp eyes scanning the neat, archaic handwriting of his mother’s former physician. As his eyes moved down the column of daily medicinal entries, I watched the muscles in his jaw tighten until the bone looked like it might snap through his skin. He reached the bottom of the page, where a specific chemical compound—a rare root extract used to suppress wolf fevers, but lethal in high, continuous doses—was documented alongside a signature seal.

"This was the first truth we ever told each other." A gust of wind howls through the open balcony door, carrying the scent of rain and something darker “Gasoline.” We look down in unison. Twenty stories below, a bonfire rages in a Blackstone-branded dumpster. Flames lick at shredded documents, their embers swirling upward like reverse snowfall. Someone's burning the archives. “Good.” The nondescript downtown office smells of fresh paint and possibility. Lillian grins from her wheelchair, slapping a label on a cardboard box with enough force to make her IV pole rattle:
