What The Fireflies Knew Novels & Stories

Every morning I have woken up thinking it was all a dream. I don’t have to use spells or anything either thus far. I think of what I want to happen, and most of the times it does. I just have to think outside the box more. It might have went faster if Elijah had been able to free up some time though. I can master those nasty ass fireballs now, though! If Flynn ever tries anything again, he is toast. ‘Pssssh! He would have been anyway! We are a DRAGON!’ Ares bristles.

she said as she folded her hands. I thought about it and realized she was right, I managed to do that without even realizing it or even trying to. Damn, I was good, I was impressed with myself. Just when I was about to respond to her accusation the intercom sounded and the dispatcher spoke. “Ambulance 27, Truck 78, Squad 66, Engine 72. We got an electrical house fire at 3289 warren street” The intercom went off and all the firefighters who had just come in from the apparatus bay not too long ago were making their way back to the trucks along with June and I. “Don’t think we’re done here missy, we will be circling back to this conversation later” June said while hopping in the driver's side o

I hoped he was right, “someone is going to get hurt either way.” “If we get the crystal, you can travel back to before Ben caught you and hopefully you can make things right” Tyler said told me, “but I’m beat, goodnight sis.” I sit at the fire for a while by myself. This forest is quiet, even at night there are no crickets chirping. The fire begins to dance almost as if it’s trying to paint a picture for me. The flames look like people hanging in cages. Am I losing my mind? I shake my head and the fire is back to normal. The forest is playing tricks on me, I better get some sleep too.

He apologized. We stayed near the lake for the rest of the night. We lit a bonfire to keep ourselves warm. We could still hear the ground being devoured by the huge hole and it made me so nervous. Auggie was humming a lullaby. I rested my head on his shoulder and listened to his hum while the fire was raging. The fireflies suddenly appeared. Maybe they were curious whose voice it was so they came here. "I love fireflies," he said. I wanted the night to be special so I tried to forget everything that was happening.

The fire came closer to my neck again and this time it stayed long enough to use my vocal cords to answer. “Nothing I said nothing. She talked. Has he done it? I withered under him. “I just told her that she is not alive. Nothing else” “Please do not burn me Hades please I am telling the truth. You can ask her tomorrow” Please he has to believe me. This is the truth.

Darkness ate at her vision. Creeping in around her. Rosa could swear she heard Axel's voice calling her name but it sounded very far away. Darkness claimed her. Her body went limp.
